Looking Glass Learning Center

I’m amazed with how much my almost 3 year old and my 1 year old have learned at Looking Glass. They have great lesson plans and have the lesson plans available for the parents to see each day. So you know exactly what your child will be learning throughout the day. They have Spanish class. They also offer tumble time and art classes for a small fee because the instructors are brought into the daycare one time per week. They have events like family Thanksgiving lunch, a Christmas show, Trunk or Treat and other events like a petting zoo, family carnival, etc.... They get the parents involved. I highly recommend this daycare center. My family calls it “school” because it is more than a daycare. It is a learning facility. I can’t wait to see what my children learn next and see the projects that they work on during the day.

This center is amazing! They do so many fun things the children absolutely love and they take care of the families as if they are their own! The center offers so many different lessons each week for the children like sensory integration, fine/gross motor skills, academic lessons, art, Spanish, you name it! They truly care about the kids and not only if they are learning, but that they have fun while at Looking Glass.

I am curious if the previous poster has have ever been to this center, or any center at all. Just about any center you look up on ODJFS is going to have something out of compliance. Also, did they even read what the issues actually were or did you just read the heading? The things being said are vague titles, ex. lack of care of children could be something as simple as not putting a child's name on something, or other things can be as simple as a missed signature on a paper. So maybe you should do some more research. As for THIS center, I have several friends whose children have gone there since they opened their doors. All of the children and the parents love this center and all of the staff! They are all very engaging, love the children, and love their jobs. You can walk into any room in this center and see happy, smiling children and teachers who are passionate about what they do! Keep up the good work!

I have not had a child enrolled at this center, however, I was considering it at one point until I read their Inspection Reports posted by ODJFS. Apparently they are Out of Compliance on several safety issues (no background checks on employees, lack of transportation safety, lack of safety of furniture indoors, lack of care/nurturing of children, no medical/dental emergency plan, lack of inservice training for staff, administration of medicine rules not being followed, and etc). This is especially frightening as they are full in some classrooms. Parent really should do more investigation before choosing a child care provider.

My son started daycare here… this is our first ever experience at a daycare I was such a nervous parent and not only did they comfort me and my son but also I could call anytime to check in on him they update you when you pick up on how they did. I really like this place
