Little Rascals Child Care Center

I am writing to share our experience with Little Rascals Childcare and Preschool. Our son has attended this school since he was about six months old, and we feel incredibly fortunate to have found it after having less-than-ideal communication with another childcare facility. From the beginning, we appreciated the open communication at Little Rascals and their dedication to meeting our son's needs. Despite being very shy, he truly enjoys going to school. We are grateful for the consistency provided by his main teachers—Miss Shelley, Miss Pat, and Miss Jill—who genuinely seem to care about him. Additionally, we value the healthy meals they serve and the well-rounded curriculum tailored to his age. Overall, our experience at Little Rascals has been wonderful, and we are deeply appreciative of the love and care our son has received there.

I am so grateful to have found Little Rascals. Our son has been in the infant class for a year now and I can say it’s been an incredible experience for him and for me as a parent. Shelley, Jill, and Patricia care deeply about the kids and they run a top notch daycare. I can see how social my son has become and how happy he is when I drop him off in the morning. I’m always so impressed as well with the healthy, diverse foods that the kids eat at school. The great deal of thought and attention put into this place is so evident. Thank you, Shelley and team!

We have loved having our daughter at Little Rascals for the last few years. Our daughter has learned so much in her time there, not only academically but also about kindness, empathy, sharing, friendship, and so much more! All of the teachers are wonderful and caring. I would highly recommend this school!

We had a wonderful preschool experience at Little Rascals. The teachers are wonderful and loving, the environment is safe, fun, and engaging. My child always left with a smile on his face, and we loved knowing he was safe and well-loved. The outdoor play area is magical, the food is healthy, and the celebrations and activities for holidays and special occasions were always so fun! Little over 3 years ago I used to take my 6-month-old daughter to work with me every day, as a single dad that was my only option at the time, as I trusted no one else to watch her. One day I’ve printed off 4 pages with every daycare and childcare place that was in Salt Lake City. I’ve spent about 3 weeks calling, emailing, and I’ve personally visited each and every one of them. Most of them I’ve crossed off the list immediately after the first phone call, or after the first visit for different reasons, as I felt they didn’t meet all my expectations. I’ve called Little Rascals, and Shelley answered the phone. The first impression was great! However, she said they had a long waiting list for that specific age group, but I’m welcome to come by and visit the daycare. I intentionally came in unannounced at random time, and the place was clean, everyone was friendly, kids were happy playing. I felt that this is the place that my kid will enjoy, and I will feel safe leaving my only child there all day. Shelley said, currently for her age group there’s a 6-month waiting list. I said put me on the list. I knew right there that my search for daycare is over, and I knew exactly what I wanted, and I’ve just found it. Next morning, I called again, Shelley picked up. I said we’ve met yesterday, you told me 6 months, just checking to see if something changed. She said I’ll call you if it does. The very next day, I called again, Shelley answered, the same question. Later that day Shelley called me, she said that there’s an opening 3 months from now, instead of 6. Next morning I called again, the same story. An hour later Shelley called me back, she said one of the parents who has twins got a job offer out of state and needs to relocate right away, but still has a 30-day notice to fulfill as agreed. I offered to take over their 30-day agreement and take the spot right away. I’ve had many other daycares call me back, but I had to turn them down, I wanted this daycare, and I was willing to do whatever it takes to get a spot, even if it meant calling every single day for the next 6 months until I got in. It’s been 3 years now, and I have not had a single issue or complaint. My daughter has learned so many things that a busy single dad cannot teach her. She has a social life and great teachers as role models. I recommend Little Rascals Daycare. To my daughter and myself, Little Rascals isn’t just a daycare, to us this place is like a family.
