What Parents Say
NOTE: These reviews appear to be for Highland Recreation Center, not Little Pals Preschool. The reviews praise the facility's cleanliness, friendly staff, affordable pricing, and diverse amenities including indoor/outdoor playgrounds, gym equipment, pools, and walking trails.
Let's talk about the walking trails just North of the Highland Complex. There are several walking trails lined with shell and asphalt. The asphalt trails circle the lake where you can find lots of waterfowl such as rosette spoonbill, mallard ducks , swamp hens and even turtles!! 75% shade depending on the time of day.
You can’t beat the price of $2/child for itty bitty play aka toddler time, each morning or $6/child rest of day. The space as a whole is clean, bright, padded and gated in perfect to spend a couple hrs. Socks are a must for climbers and caregivers who want to play aside. Snacks and drinks are allowed outside the gate, on occasion you’ll see a staff member overseeing the area. I recommend visiting Play World(inside Highland Rec center) to burn off their little energy.
I have been a member for over 3 years and I love it here! Staff is so friendly and helpful. This place has so many programs for beginners and those at the advanced level . Everything from the bathrooms to the weight room, inside track, classrooms and gym are very clean. It also has an outdoor walking track around a lake, outdoor fitness equipment, outdoor basketball courts and a pool. The membership fees are also incredible low.
nice staf and excellent facilities with lots of parking, wifi and great location..
On Friday, Nov. 7th as I begun my workout I was horrified to see one of the basketball courts set up as a military zone with inflatable "bio hazard" items and an inflatable minature camouflaged tank! I was informed it was Nerf Ball night for the kids so their folks could have a Parents Night Out. Not long afterwards about 2 dozen kids were running around shooting each other with Nerf guns. This teaches children that shooting at people with guns is ok and tolerated; just a normal part of our society. It also tells them that the use of the military is an everday event- you know like Trump invading our cities with military force! Why not use Disney or cartoon characters and play a game of tag so as not to reinforce violence in our nation?
