I would not recommend this school to anyone. If your child cries during drop off they kick them out. Very cookie cutter staff. The issue is they have been established for a long time and they are very particular about which child they choose. Not a good fit for every kid. Only the perfect kids.
I just wanted to give Ms. Sabrina Cloud a huge THANK YOU. She brings the children to come play at the mini golf I manage for years and years and this lady is ON TOP OF IT! The kids are always so well mannered. She is always so kind. She keeps the kids in order, even with 30+ kids practically every time. Sabrina is awesome and deserves some recognition for her leadership and kind spirit. The Oakhurst group is always our BEST MANNERED group and I know that starts at the top, so thank you Miss Cloud for being amazing!
If I could give no stars I would. If your child has any emotions or feelings this is NOT the place for you. Only "cookie cutter" children allowed. Staff lacks care, compassion, empathy for small children. REMEMBER Oakhurst: All flowers grow from the dirt!
My son has been going to Oakhurst Learning Center since he was 2 years old, so almost 2 years now. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. They helped with potty training, developing and learning new skills, and communication. I would get pictures and update throughout the day through the app. They provide a weekly meal plan along with a structured daily agenda of their activities by the hour. My son first started with only saying a few words and after the first week we noticed a significant change in his vocabulary, singing lots of new songs, and was a lot more interested in how to communicate. He was at an in-home daycare with younger kids who he didn't get much interaction with. I feel extremely safe with my son going to this school as the staff really do care about the kids like they are their own. Within the first day of attending the school all the teachers knew his name and made him feel right at home. I was afraid he wouldn't want to go back but 2 years later he is excited to go everyday to see his friends and teachers. I would strongly recommend Oakhurst Learning Center for any child especially the ones who are uncertain about putting their kids into a center after being home with them and having to go back to work. This is the place to go. You will not be disappointed with the care.
My son has been attending OLC for several years now and there has not been a single teacher, assistant or administrator that has not put 110% of their time and effort into these kids. We have had nothing but good experiences and the teachers have been like family to us. I trust them completely with my child. Information is well-communicated, organized, efficient, and parent-friendly. Each of the classrooms have tons of age-appropriate toys, games and activities and I know that my son is being properly prepared for school both socially and mentally. I will continue to recommend OLC to all of my friends and family.
