What Parents Say
Linden Hills Child Care Center receives consistently high praise from parents who appreciate the caring staff, strong emotional connections, and home-like atmosphere. The center has maintained an excellent reputation over 35 years with low teacher turnover. One parent noted the basement location is not an ideal physical space but emphasized that staff quality outweighs facility limitations.
Linden Hills Child Care takes excellent care of children. My kids are several years apart so my family has the unique perspective of not only having an infant currently well loved by staff, but also seeing the benefits years later in a grade-school age child who has a solid foundation and secure emotional connections. The teachers are supported and treated with the utmost respect by the director as evidenced by low turnover. Teachers are encouraged to be fully focused on childcare; there is no digital documentation or app, which has the incredible benefit of allowing providers to be present. Cannot recommend them enough!
I had the privilege of teaching at LHCC on and off for over 17 years prior to opening a center of my own. This is an excellent school - as is eveidnced by their outstanding reputation and 35 years in operation! If you are looking for top notch childcare in the Linden Hills area for your infant, toddler or preschooler look no further:)
I have gone to LHCCC for 2 years and have been very happy with the care. We have been in the infant and toddler room. The infant room had amazing staff. You could tell they truly loved their jobs and care about your baby. I echo the other reviewer's comment about helpful suggestions. They provided sincere feedback without ever being judgmental. I always felt very comfortable leaving my baby in their care. The center is in a basement of a church so was not built for a childcare center. It is not the best physical space I have ever seen, but I was more concerned about who would be holding and caring for my baby than the physical space she was in. Others may have a different opinion. I find it interesting that another reviewer said it was the mix of a center and in-home care as I have described it as such to my family and friends. I think that is a very appropriate summary. For the reviewer who commented on the citations, I do suggest you read them. They include things like leaving diaper rash ointment under the changing station and not posting the license in a visible location. I went to the department of human services site and looked at 5 centers within close proximity to my house. All 5 had correction orders with various citations. I believe it is worthwhile to review to determine which citations you can live with (one had a citation for torn carpet) and which ones you can't. Overall, I would say my experience has been very good.
This place feels like home for us and our baby! Each and every teacher genuinely cares for our child, we receive excellent communication, and the environment is warm and welcoming. We love LHCC and feel so lucky to have found it!
