my children have attended the center since kinder garden and I have no more than to say Thank you to all the staff for caring as a family. they get the well deserved learning of giving back to the community that has help them get to where they at today. They have learned the value of leadership to strive in this upraising culture. The staff has help me personally not only with my kids homework but also my whole family with issues that are not even related to school and we all feel very grateful and blessed for all the staff at the center that care not only for the children but for also for the families.
When I went to the Leadership Learning Center at St. John Bosco and saw the joy on these children's faces faces that was brought on by the love and support from the staff and their friends was overwhelming. These children are truly gifts from God, and the Learning Center is a wonderful place for these little angels to play and stay safe.
I was a student here since then 4th grade until I graduated high school and I have nothing but praise for the great work at the LLC. I've gotten homework help, project assistance, food, physical education, and I've created lifelong relationships here. When I was applying for college the employees here including Mirta Fuentes, the director, guided me throughout the process. In addition, I received help from former students of the LLC program who have made it to great universities. Today, I can say without a doubt that I wouldn't be attending a top-20 university if it wasn't for the help and support that I've received from this great community. This program has helped me even outside of the academic sphere. When my family was in need of food and other supplies because of a recent family emergency the folks at the Center helped my family for three months with donations of food and water. The Leadership Learning Center at St. John Bosco is a gem and a treasure to the community of Little Havana and beyond.
They going to interact with children at an early age to provide them with the leadership skills, academic ability and personal character. This acomplish by the program's concentracion on individualized achievement ,self esteem and community building among peers , ect..
My child have all attended the center, I really appreciate all the help that has been provided to them academically, the tutoring they provide and the help with their homework and project from school this center is a blessing and the support that the new staff provides for the families is awesome.
