I visited this Center last November during a resource fair to include a turkey give-away for the surrounding community. It was extremely organized, the University of Miami, Early Learning Coalition, a women's and kid's shelter and other key community support representatives were present. The Gang Alternative team treated the community folks and vendors extremely well. The families were delighted as they ate the fresh, free food including grilled hamburgers, hotdogs, entries and beverages. This team is top-scale, professional, caring and a jewel in the Little Haiti community, to say otherwise would not be expressing truth. Thank you Gang Alternative, l will remember you on Giving Tuesday and when l hit the Florida Lottery.😊
A true gem in Little Haiti. Got to see some of the summer activities in action. Yoga, meditation, etc are all incorporated into the programs offered in underserved communities. I'd really like to see them grow to 20 or 30 locations. Their efforts are SO needed and really give kids a chance to expand their awareness.
If your kids are doing nothing at home you should bring them to GA and you won't regret. GA even provide the high schoolers with paid Internships. For the children, they have many different fun programs.
