I've been to this place once. The people are very friendly and help as much as possible. The reason I gave it 3 stars is because I've heard of people getting help from them very easily and more than once. Unfortunately that wasn't the case for me
The process for assistance approval is so cumbersome and the agents are so rude and unhelpful/unresponsive, that my family gave up on accessing Federal LIHEAP assistance (for which we qualify at this time). It is sad because we have no other recourse to seek assistance from this federal program in our local jurisdiction. We have not felt this disempowered in a long time. Our family is going into debt to pay our electric bills right now. It is a shame that emergency and low-income public assistance services are being administered by folks lacking basic human decency and compassion.
