We’ve had our children enrolled since 2018 before the transition from Lake Carroll Baptist to Mission Hill. While there were some significant changes with the departure of long term teachers, we see value in the increased security, steadfast approach to feedback, and sense of community. The Christian based curriculum welcomes all walks of life!
Several issues over the years... When my youngest was about 2 she was on the playground and attempted to climb the METAL SLIDE, she obviously wasn't being supervised when she fell and busted her chin wide open... she received about ten stitches... I had to physically hold her down in a restraint as she screamed "daddy help me" while they stitched her up. The worst day of my life... As my oldest daughter got older... questions about family and nationality come up and are normal... but when the kids found out that my kid was half Jewish (mothers side) the other kids began picking on her and asking her why she was at a baptist church... very toxic environment for kids. They said they didn't teach religion in the daycare when we signed up, but my kid came home singing hymns daily so that was far from the truth... The woman that worked the desk, "Ms. Beverly" I believe, loves to put her nose where it doesn't belong and refused to give me my kids when I attempted to check them out one day in particular... I promised I would pull my kids out of there and I did... after 4 years of fighting in court I won the right to pull my babies out... thank goodness... because their mother was not looking out for their best interests... be warned... they recently changed the name to Mission Hill but it's the same staff that was at Lake Carroll Baptist... Now they are attempting to have my review removed... hmm... Anyways here are the photos of my daughter's chin from the incident with the slide... for proof... I should have hired a lawyer over the incident... but I let it go! Now they wanna press the issue...
A bunch of gossips mostly by the women who teach and have been leading the youth there. No real love just fake people. Don't leave your kids with them if you don't want them emotionally destroyed. I was so fooled by these adult women who act like teenagers in high school. New name on church but the women and men who teach and lead the youth are merciless and cruel.
My kids loved going there. Staff is wonderful. The school curriculum is great. All the teachers my kids had were amazing. It means something when teachers stick around for awhile. Pastor Kyle, Cheryl, Sue...
