The fact that they even have a 4-star rating is worrisome. Because HOW? Teaching wise, yes, I would give a 4 star rating, because I have encountered some amazing professors. Others not so great, so there they lose a star. I decided to go back to school after 13 years, and I can’t believe their system is as bad if not worse than it was then. The way that LaGuardia treats you when you need help!!!! I felt like a mouse in a maze. They literally throw you around from office to office and in each office nobody can help you. The advisors I spoke to, spoke to me like they had no time to explain anything, and the other one spoke like she was annoyed at all the valid questions I had. The financial aid department took away my FAFSA help, and then I was granted a scholarship and they took away a $1000 from $2600 that I got granted. Like how? Why? Just why? I clearly need the help, and they could care less, taking away money that was granted to me. I went to look for help in something regarding admissions and there is no face to talk to, I was told that they only work remotely. I really hope they take that away from them soon. Because how is it that I need to speak to someone in person and there is no person to talk to. Not even a video call, not even a decent phone call, all through email. And lastly, I will not be able to start at a four year program because the schedule interferes with LaGuardias winter session. Like how did you not think about this when making the schools schedule? So I need to be backed up for over six months because of their schedule. I am beyond disappointed with all the runarounds and the no help. The only thing that has make it worth to go back to school are the majority of great professors I have.

I truly appreciate LaGuardia CC, the college has helped me incredibly in my aim to advance my career and education. I took a class in the Adult Continuing Education department last year and I was hired directly from my internship. This year, I just enrolled for Spring 2026 semester as a 39 year old woman getting my first degree. The college is a beautiful campus, there are many programs to support all different kinds of students. I look forward to finally getting my first degree at LaGuardia.

I want to warn future students about the Radiologic Technology program at LaGuardia Community College. The program is NOT accredited by JRCERT (Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology), which is the national standard for radiology programs. This is never clearly explained to students during the admission process. Many only find out by accident from other people, not from the school itself. While the program is institutionally accredited and graduates can still take the ARRT exam in New York, the lack of JRCERT accreditation can limit your job opportunities — especially in hospitals outside of New York State, federal facilities, and some specialized programs. However, professors are great, I appreciate everything they’ve done for me. Professors are kind, caring and supportive, they want you to know something, not just getting grades. In addition, many students don’t realize that, but LaGuardia Community College has a very, very, very good staff. Administrative staff is very caring about their student, they try to help everyone and make you academic life much easier. In conclusion, I can definitely recommend this college, but only if you’re 100% sure that they have all of the accreditations you need for your future career. Good luck!

La Guardia Community College best place to study and learn English as a second language to continue a college carrier. Great teachers and very helpful staff.

Every single "professor" I had at this college was a left wing radical. When did it become a requirement that college professors have to be left wing radicals. And why don't colleges hire any professors with conservative values. It seems like the educational systems hiring practices are extremely discriminatory towards conservatives.
