Birch was the first school that my daughter went. We were so excited about this school. We evaluated her here, we did the tour, we meet teachers and staff. At first everything look fine. But we started noticing problems when the school started. They did not informed us that my daughter didn’t had a class teacher. They didn’t had a nurse. She didn’t had a PT. The school seemed under staff and the reason I am saying that is cause my daughter kept having incidents in her class. In a week she had 3-4 incident. That’s when I realize she didn’t had a teacher. There were substitute and paraprofessionals but with out a teacher they were barely able to manage the class. We spoke to the assistant principal and she ensured us that things will change but we kept facing the same problems. In the middle of the year we had to switch my daughter’s school. Cause I faced a lot of negligence, irresponsibility. My experience at Birch was negative and I kept seeing similar reviews where parent claimed the child being hurt. I don’t write reviews but this one was needed. And parents need to know parents opinions before they make their decision. Thank you.

The 3K program at Birch has such a wonderful maternal touch, something that’s often missing in other schools. The teachers are nurturing and attentive, which makes the often-challenging transition into preschool so much easier for the little ones. You can truly see how much care and thought they put into helping each child feel comfortable, loved, and confident from day one

Wasted an entire month due to "Coordinator for Evaluation and Intake" lack of communication. I made an appointment on March 31st, after communicating back and forth for 3 days, to find a day that suited our family's needs. The day before, I reach out just to make sure all was still well and Piero tells me the date was no longer available (guven to someone else) because I hadn't sent in paperwork. It was NEVER expressed that it needed to be submitted prior to the appointment. Paperwork literally says not to sign until you're with the evaluators. Why would I submit prior?? After exchanging 20 emails with someone to secure a date, why not send out an email to follow up if something wasn't recieved? Unbelievable! Paperwork was completed but we intended to turn in the morning of the evaluation. My husband and I changed our entire day, secured childcare for our oldest, only to be turned away and hit with, "My apologies." You want us to trust you to evaluate our child and you can't even competently communicate with the parents. This is unacceptable. Be mindful if you decide to respond because I have 24 emails that will back everything I've typed.

My son who has a speech delay is currently enrolled in this school. My son’s teacher is one of the best teachers plus her teacher assistants are always there to make my son feel comfortable. The teacher knows that my son is a child with a disability but that does not stop her from caring and putting all her effort to keep him learning. From when my son started last school year he has advanced so much and it’s thanks to the staff and his teacher’s. The school itself has continued to provide all the resources they can to help our children with disabilities and the different therapies has also helped my son thrive. The school is always making sure you as the parents are involved as much as possible to help give you the resources that will provide the best opportunities for your children to have a better future. If you are looking into giving this school a try I would 100% recommend.

I can’t say thank you enough to Birch Family services for all their help with my son. He has a Speech Delay and they helped us to have his evaluations, everything was done with a smile and friendly attitude. I’m so lucky to have found them trough the District of Education. They are a hidden gem. I wish I could of know about this place sooner. God bless them all
