We have had three children be in the care of the fabulous staff at La Petite in Kent. Currently our 2 1/2 year-old granddaughter is there and she loves! The staff is kind and caring and they do a beautiful job of having indoor time and outdoor time, story time, craft time and free time. But the best part is we don’t worry at all about our granddaughter because we know she is in safe care. Also, there is very little turnover. Several staff members have been there 20+ years. We highly recommend Petite in Kent.
It’s hard to trust anyone (or place) with your child. I appreciate the way staff has helped us transition to their facility. They keep me updated and allow for collaboration with parents. The cameras are also an added ‘security blanket’ for me. I know experience may be teacher dependent anywhere, but I have found my experience with the staff, for preschool age and below, to be very positive.
Exceptional Care and Learning at La Petite Kent Every day, our son starts his morning with a warm welcome and embrace from his amazing teacher, Miss Fariah. The connections he's built with his classmates and teachers are truly heartwarming; they've grown so strong that we often find ourselves participating in activities together outside of school. We initially enrolled our son at La Petite Kent to provide him with additional social interaction when he was about to turn two. Now, as he approaches his fifth birthday, we couldn’t be happier with our decision. Every class he’s been a part of has exceeded our expectations. We are especially grateful to the directors—Sara, Wendy, and Janae—who bring their deep experience, knowledge, and care to the school. Their empathetic approach ensures that every situation is handled thoughtfully and effectively. If we could, we’d give La Petite Kent ten stars! It’s been an amazing experience for our family, providing our son with a solid foundation in education, social skills, and the ability to thrive in a school setting at such a young age. I love this school, the staff and educator are all so nice and take such good care of my daughter!
We have been La Petite parents for nearly 8 years - we have two girls who both started in the one year old room. The manager, Martha, is the glue that makes it all work. She hires good people, who really care about children. Our daughters thrived at La Petite and were always in good hands. It's not easy to leave a one year old in anyone's care, but they make it easy to call and check on your children or to pop in and observe. You can even try to observe without being seen by your child, which is fun. The summer program is great and my school age daughter really looks forward to the field trips and activities. This is a quality program that is managed by professional staff.
