We are very happy with our experience here. My daughter has been in the Jr. Toddlers program for several months, and as a first-time mom, I was very nervous about starting daycare at just one year old (which feels early in our culture). From day one, however, the transition has been smooth and reassuring. The livestream feature has been especially helpful, allowing us to check in without disrupting the classroom. The teaching staff is truly wonderful—empathetic, attentive, and genuinely caring. They are also incredibly inventive and bring such positive, calm energy into the classroom. The children’s days are filled with engaging activities like dancing, drawing, singing, and interactive play. Since starting here, my daughter’s independence has grown significantly, and her sleep has improved a great deal! She comes home happy and full of energy, clearly enjoying her time with her teachers and friends. It is a great comfort to know she is in such loving and professional hands—and that you have gathered enough calm energy during the day to fully enjoy your evening time together at home.
Both of my children attend La Petite, and we’ve had a great experience. My son completed their Junior Kindergarten program, which is perfect for children who miss the FCPS cutoff. He was very well prepared when he started Kindergarten. He now attends their before- and after-school program and goes full day when FCPS is closed, which has been incredibly helpful with the frequent school closures. My daughter started in the Preschool program after our in-home daycare closed and is now in Junior Kindergarten. Over the past two years, she has learned so much, and the growth I’ve seen in her has been impressive. I feel confident she will be more than ready for Kindergarten.
My daughter has been at La Petite since she was 10 months old, starting in the Infant class and now in Jr. Toddlers. Overall, we’ve had a really good experience - and I say that as a type-A mom. The teachers are warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. I love being able to check in on the livestream during the day, which gives me so much peace of mind. Most importantly, my daughter has thrived here. She’s grown in ways I was honestly a little nervous about from a milestone perspective, and it’s been so reassuring to see her develop so confidently and happily.
My oldest daughter started in the toddler room and was there through preschool. She loves to play with friends and the extracurricular activities they offer like soccer and water play during summer. She came home everyday having learned something new in her vocabulary. The teachers had excellent control of their classrooms. It was organized, clean, and I felt my child was safe attending this school. I still use this school for care with my other children and have had positive experiences. This school is also conveniently located for drop offs on the way into work.
Cannot describe how wonderful the teachers, staff, and overall environment is for our children. The leadership provide a consistent, long tenured, group of dedicated teachers for our kids. They are kind, compassionate, and are invested in working with the parents on the development of their kids. Highly recommend!
