La Petite Academy - Cottonwood

I only have positive things to say about La Petite as a daycare center for my now 18-month old, who has been enrolled since 12-months of age (July 2025). We came at a time where leadership roles changed where Katie was serving as the assistant director and interim director (with Tiffany coming on later as Director). While I do not know what the center was like with the previous staff, I am confident in saying what we have seen and experienced, we are happy. From the beginning, Katie and the current staff (and now with Tiffany) have made me feel so comfortable leaving my baby with them. As a parent, I want a daycare that is clean, responsive, and provides loving, safe care to kids. La Petite checks all that. There is always someone at the front desk, and I have never called the front line without someone answering. The hours of operation work well for someone like me who works early and long hours. The price is comparable and appropriate when compared to other centers. And my baby is eating all his food and growing along his growth curve, so I trust their meals and feeding regimen. So while this specific center may have had big changes earlier last year, from what we see, it’s a center worth touring and trusting.

La petite has been such a blessing. We are new to salt lake and having tried one other school, the level of care and attention was evident in my son’s attitude. He LOVES his teacher! Even the teachers of other classes know him. He started in tots and now in 2s, he comes home singing the alphabet and talking about his activities. La petite is above and beyond

I am very sad to be writing this review - all three of my children have attended La Petite, and we've been going there since 2020. Today, both their Director (who has been there 21 years - the building is literally dedicated to her) and her Asst Director resigned. Several of our favorite teachers have whispered that they too have or will put in notice. I just pulled my daughter, and will leave as soon as I can. Here's what I have to say: Ms. Heather and her team have devoted countless care, hours and energy to the children in their charge. During our years at La Petite it was a wonderful place - clean, bright, happy. Whatever is going on at the corporate level is causing some very serious turnover. And...anyone who knows literally anything about early childhood development knows that attachment to a caregiver is one of the most important pieces in quality care. Retaining good staff so that your kiddo can have that attachment is as important as a safe, clean facility or a quality curriculum. I don't know why La Petite corporate has suddenly lost multiple long time teachers here...but something is amiss, and I would encourage corporate to take a close look at whomever is supervising this site and their management practices. To me...this smacks of toxic management. How can you have a beloved Director of 21 years...suddenly quit? Along with most of her staff? Something is not right here. La Petite Corporate, if you are reading this, please call whomever is directly supervising this site (whomever is OVER Ms. Heather) into your office ASAP. They are hurting staff, families, and kids. Update on 1/21/25: People are walking out. Received another notice of another resignation today - staff person who had been there years. It feels like La Petite Corporate is asleep at the wheel.

We love La Petite!! My son has attended for the last 3 years starting at the time he was 2. Now he is 5 and still loves it, I have to drag him out everyday because he wants to play longer. I was always on a part-time schedule and they were more than happy to work with me. The teachers are great and always really cared about my son's well being. Would recommend to anyone.

WE love La Petite! We have been coming here for over 4 years now, my son started in the infant class room and is now in the PreK class. The staff and teachers are incredible and the work and care that they give each student is wonderful. My son never wants to leave because he loves it so much, and he loves learning. It is a clean, safe and caring environment, and you can really tell they care so much. The teachers and staff are a part of our family!
