What Parents Say
These reviews are for LA Fitness, not a daycare center. The facility receives mixed ratings (2-5 stars) with praise for its amenities, staff friendliness, and management, but consistent concerns about equipment maintenance and cleanliness issues.
This gym never has any 45 lb weights on the floor. There might be 20 to 30 in the entire building. I often have to search the entire floor to find just two. I see many people using 25 lb weights, but there aren’t many of those either. And the weights are always scattered everywhere. No one ever puts them back in their designated spots. It’s so chaotic that it’s not even the members’ fault. Management must never organize them, and of course, I’m not going to do it either. I’ll at least put them back where I found them. It’s incredibly inconvenient, especially on my way home. I’d go to another gym.
The facility could use a few repairs and some deep cleaning in a few areas but overall is pretty clean. Everyone I have met there is very nice. I work with a personal trainer twice a week and he has been very understanding of my physical limits and always finds ways to adapt to them.
I love the classes at la fitness STONEMOUNTAIN however the restroom and floor is completely nasty! Now I know customers can leave the restroom nasty but there is no excuse for the floor at 9:30am in the morning! Please mop and clean up! Ppl want to go to the sauna and workout and relax not have to look at completely disgusting floors that looks like it haven’t been mopped properly in months!
I almost exclusively use free weights area. It is adequate and choice of weight equipment(except large plates) and machines is good, but does seem to suffer from inadequate upkeep. Cable machines often have attachments missing and few of those when they can be found. 45 pound plates are scarce, resulting in a regular hunt for plates especially for leg machines. Locker and bath rooms (men’s) are not too inviting. I’d put them as just adequate, but I would not want to regular shower there. Aerobic machines are plenty. Classes, like spin, not many. Overall just adequate, given lack of alternate choices in the area.
While dealing with members can be challenging, professionalism is part of the job. Being rude or bullying a member—especially repeatedly—is unacceptable. After being treated this way multiple times, I decided not to escalate the situation or take action against the employee. I simply canceled my membership and moved on. I hope this behavior doesn’t continue, because eventually it could lead to a much worse situation when you meet the person that can match your energy.
