Formal Complaint Regarding Serious Health and Safety Concerns at Dixon KinderCare I am writing to formally document and express my deep concern and dissatisfaction regarding my grandson's experience with Dixon KinderCare which raises serious questions about the facility’s operational integrity, commitment to child safety, and overall hygiene practices. Prior to his first day of attendance, my daughter's account was prematurely charged without explanation or justification. While this was concerning, it pales in comparison to what followed shortly thereafter. Within two weeks of attendance, my grandbaby suffered two hematomas while under the care and supervision of Dixon KinderCare staff. When I inquired about the injuries, I was told they were “bug bites” and was informed that other children had also experienced similar “bites.” Given the severity and appearance of the hematomas, this explanation was not only medically implausible, but also dismissive of legitimate safety concerns. I requested that a formal and thorough investigation be conducted to determine the cause of my grandson' s injuries as diagnosed by the doctor. Despite this reasonable and necessary request, I received no follow-up, no incident report, and no meaningful communication whatsoever. The lack of transparency and failure to take appropriate investigative action is deeply troubling and, in my opinion, constitutes a serious breach of the duty of care expected from a licensed childcare provider. Further compounding my concern is the generally unsanitary condition of the facility. The floors are consistently dirty, and the overall cleanliness is far below acceptable standards for a childcare environment. It is no surprise, then, that a communication was recently distributed to parents acknowledging an outbreak of hand, foot, and mouth disease — a condition often associated with poor hygiene and inadequate sanitation. I strongly urge any grandparent/parent considering enrollment at this center to exercise extreme caution. Based on our experience, Dixon KinderCare has demonstrated a disturbing lack of accountability, inadequate safety protocols, and a failure to provide even the most basic standards of hygiene and communication. My daughter attended Dixon Kindercare from 2021 through 2025 when she graduated from TK to go to kindergarten. Our experience with Dixon Kindercare was nothing short of wonderful. From the beginning, every staff member greeted us with kindness and warmth. They truly treated us like family -- every teacher and staff member knew my daughter's name, took the time to connect with her, and invested in her growth and happiness. The director Sharon went above and beyond to make sure families felt supported. She genuinely cared about how we were doing, regularly sought feedback, and created an environment where families felt heard and valued. The leadership can make all the difference. Because of the strong foundation Kindercare provided, my daughter entered Kindergarten confident and ready to succeed. She has adjusted beautifully to her new classroom and new school. She recognizes letters, numbers, and sight words with ease, can count and problem solve, follows routines, and shows kindness and cooperation with her classmates. It is clear that Kindercare not only prepared her academically, but also socially and emotionally. I know her home life also plays a role, but without the partnership we had with her teachers at Kindercare, I do not believe she would be as well adjusted as she is. We are beyond grateful for the love, dedication, and support our family received at Dixon Kindercare and it will always hold a special place in our hearts.

My son started back in July I was very nervous to send my son to childcare. I knew it was the best for him and I wanted the know the best for him, my family and I enjoys Kinder Care so much. So many milestones have been revealed to us he’s an infant. The infant department is wonderful and so is the entire facility. I highly recommend best choice I ever made since becoming a new mom.

i cannot praise this place enough. the director, mrs sharon, goes above and beyond for the children and parents. she truly cares about the way this daycare is ran! my two girls have been going here for a little over a year and i couldn’t see them anywhere else. ms. katina, ms. renee, mr. jeff, ms. cris, ms.natasha, ms.veronica and so many more of the wonderful teachers have done an excellent job caring for my little ones. i recommend dixon kindercare to any and everyone!!

The BESTTTT daycare ever!! Both of my children started here about two years ago and we have never had any issues. My son is now in school, but his teachers still ask about him every time I see them. My other daughter who is still at Kindercare, is always so excited to go! Her teachers love her and we now have lifelong relationships with every teacher we have come in to contact with. Also the director, Mrs Sharon is the best! If I were to ever have a concern, she is the first to take it and make it right. My kids love her and all of the teachers they have been with! I know it is going to be hard when my daughter goes to school in a couple of years and we won't be here anymore. If you're looking for a daycare who will take your kids and love them as your own... this is the ONE!!
