My sons were at this location for about 3 1/2 years and I enjoyed them being there when Kim was the director. Kim was very pleasant, she greeted everyone as they entered, and she was more personable and cheerful than the new assistant director that recently got hired named Tara- Sharatara. Shartara doesn’t seem like she likes her job. She barely speaks when you enter the building unless you say hello first. Body language and facial expressions say a lot and her demeanor always seemed off. Shortly after she arrived at KINDERCARE in her new position, parents got notification that Kim would no longer be with KINDERCARE. After that I was told by shatara that I had to fill out all new forms and provide shot records for my kids, although this was already completed prior to her being there. Then fast forward weeks later I get a call from Shatara saying that due to issues with licensure, my kids could no longer attend kindergarten care with their title X voucher, unless I was willing to be be private pay. The conversation was very short and dry. & then on my son’s last day, she had the nerve to tell another kid “oh don’t worry about him this is his last day anyway” who says that to a child? My son from what he told me was being hit by another kid and instead of her showing some compassion she’s was rude and cold, & that’s the last thing my son remembers about her and that place. She’s didn’t even say goodbye as we left on my children’s last day NOR did she speak when I came to pick up my kids on their last day, BUT she made it a point to chime in about my son walking out and going to the car when I asked where he had went…. Very odd lady. Doesn’t greet you when you walk in but if she overhears you speaking to someone else she makes it a point to add her input… I feel that that’s very rude. All of the other staff Like Mr. Jason, Ms. Keisha, Ms. Jada, & Ms Tina were always very phenomenal staff and teachers. They seemed to be the only people that cared and were sad about my children leaving. However, I would never bring my kids back to KINDERCARE. Not only did I have to find a new daycare in less than a week, and was notified very last minute, I would also like to add, as mentioned in several survey’s I had taken, my main concern was about the lack of cleanliness of this place and disorganization. There was also a very hire turnover rate with employee’s. I would also like to mention another uncomfortable experience while cooperate was there making all of these sudden changes, Shartara told me cooperate wanted to see me in the main office where I was told I owed a $3000 balance that wasn’t even mine because the wrong child was attached to my account. After Shatara overheard the conversation that another woman’s child with the same last name as me was the person that owed the balance her reply was “ oh that’s another lady and that child needs to be taken off her account” I was bothered by the fact that they hadn’t figured that out before calling me into the office and telling me I owed a balance that wasn’t even mine. I could go on and on about how this place has literally started falling apart after Kim’s departure. I’m glad my kids are no longer there. I’m not sure of the details of what happened with Ms. Kim leaving but I know I’m not the only one that was sad to see her go!

Think twice before bringing your child here, it isn’t worth the headache and hassle. For weeks I was unable to scan my baby in, and I repeatedly asked the staff for help. I was told someone would “look into it,” but no one ever notified me that her title 20 coverage had lapsed, a balance was building, or that late fees were being added. No letters, no phone calls, no meetings, nothing. I get her title 20 reinstated; then Months later, out of nowhere, I was hit with a $1,200+ bill and told my child would be expelled immediately with no payment plan option. To make matters worse, part of the balance they tried to bill me for was a period JFS already covered. And they still tried to force late fees for a balance I didn’t even know existed because THEY failed to notify me. All while my family was dealing with the death of my mother. KinderCare allowed a debt to silently accumulate, failed to communicate, refused compassion, refused to take accountability for their part, refused to offer a payment plan, and then chose to punish a child. That is NOT how a childcare program that claims to care about children and families should operate (other families are affected as well) This situation could have been handled ethically and professionally, but instead it has caused emotional stress, instability, and financial hardship, completely unnecessarily. Families trust childcare providers to partner with them, communicate clearly, and put children first. That did not happen here.

My son has thrived here, he has improved so much and is able to be around other kids and spatial awareness has improved and the daycare staff take great care of him and are patient with him. Ms Kesha, Ms. Z, Ms.S, Mr. Jason and Ms. Kim have helped him so much and it makes me happy to see how comfortable he is with everyone . I am thankful for them and keeping the kids safe.

Horrible communication! They don’t take care of the children well at all. They mop the floors while kids are still there. I’m sure that cannot be protocol as it’s extremely unsafe and I’ve witnessed children slipping due to this. The food they feed the children is unacceptable. There’s always chaos and no order. They don’t properly change or attend to your children. It’s disgusting, and horrible to have to even experience this when you trust them with your children. There may be possibly 1 good Apple from the bunch but that’s not nearly enough to continue to leave my child here. Unless you want chaos every drop off and pick up go elsewhere. Do better especially for a childcare center this is extremely unacceptable!

One of the worst experiences so far. We got excited to enroll our children so we could finally have a consistent schedule with a work life balance and within a month it was changed till further notice every to other week they can attend schooling. And now today even though the children only go to school one week on one week off, they made them take off today?? But some how some way their website is happily accepting more children even though they can’t even attend to the ones they have right now.
