I normally don’t leave reviews, but I really wanted to shout out Ms. Jenni. From the start she’s been super genuine, just truly caring with the kids and really easy to talk to as a parent. She actually listens when you have questions or concerns, and you can tell she pays attention to the little things. As a mom, that means everything when you’re trusting people with your babies. Since she came in, the whole vibe feels more positive and supportive. I also want to mention Ms. Violet, she’s very attentive and you can see how much she truly cares for the kids. It’s reassuring knowing there are people there who are patient, loving, and really present with the children every day. I’m really grateful for both of them and the care they give.

Ocotillo is extremely unstable due to lack of leadership and high staff turnover. Enrollment is very low, and the director, Josie, splits her time between Ocotillo and Estrella, leaving both centers without proper oversight. Staff morale is very low, and children are not getting the care and attention they deserve. I cannot recommend this center for anyone’s child.

Going back to work as a first time parent with a newborn daughter had me distraught about sending my baby to daycare. But my experience has been nothing but AMAZING! My daughter’s teachers, Redina, Fatima, Betty, Slovanna and director Shameika are so caring and attentive to my daughter. My fiance and I have no family around or help, and they really do care for my daughter like she is their family, and treat us the same! I am honestly so grateful for them and 100% glad I chose this location!

I would gove this place negaive 5 if I could!! Parents absolutely I would not send my child here. My youngest daughter started here when she was 6 weeks when Rochelle and Krystal ran the place. We had nothing but an amazing experience with them. Lexi and Luz were the most amazing and patient teachers. Once Shameka (turned the place ghetto) took over it all went down hill. She was by far the rudest. I had never met the women in my life and walked into pick up my children and she ordered me in the office like I was a child being called into the principal. Telling me my children couldn't return all due to the billing they clearly have wrong and still fail to fix. They were double billing and paid twice for the same time. Since I have decided to take my children to an honest place. It has been brought to my attention that several parents have removed their children from this daycare due to Shameka and her bad ways of treating kids and parents. One parent actually said shameka took her son in the office yelled at him and pinched him. Trying to reach out to any one above this facility has gotten absolutely NO WHERE. Still after almost 6 months and several phone calls no one has fixed my billing. So many long term families have left this place due to one person and its truly heartbreaking because I used to brag about how much I loved this daycare. Well its nice to see that you get a response making things look as if they care. However I've called, left messages, reached out to MULTIPLE PHONE NUMBERS. YET, STILL NO CONTACT. I've been told things would be escalated and to wait 3 days. Again, we are clearly on month 6. I don't think any thing is actually being taken seriously. There have been several situations. Several families leaving and several staff leaving. On top of billing issues. I also don't feel it's appropriately for someone who is supposedly leading a daycare facility to treat parents or children like they are less than. There is such a thing called confidentiality. There is also a level of professionalism that should be required. However at this point I would like to discuss the billing. Clearly nothing is being done about the behaviors. Billing is definitely an issue when you have parents billed for time that shouldn't have occurred.

Had an outstanding experience here!! I was so worried about my infant daughter as I was going back to work and she was so little. However, her teacher Red was reassuring and understanding I felt so much ease leaving her to be cared for. I am eagerly waiting for them to reopen the infant room as my little one misses her teacher. We have transferred to another facility as there were not enough infants in the room. So please enroll your infants here! They go above and beyond keeping parents informed and creating special bonds with the kiddos. Thank you Red and Ocotillo KinderCare!
