What Parents Say
Kids R Kids O'Fallon receives mixed reviews ranging from 1-5 stars. Most reviewers praise the center's staff, communication, safety features, and curriculum, with several parents reporting their children were well-prepared for kindergarten. However, recent negative reviews cite serious concerns including staff turnover, security lapses, inadequate special needs support, and safety/allergy management issues.
My son has been attending Kids and Company O'Fallon South for almost a year now. HE LOVES IT!! His teachers and staff deserve so much praise. They care so much not only about the play time and curriculum but also the emotional development of the children. The communication is unmatched. I get hourly updates on what he eats, when he is napping, how often they change his diaper, etc. They even send photos daily of my son participating in fun and creative activities. I have access to cameras so I am able to check in on him at any given moment while I am at work. I am so impressed with this early childhood development center for so many reasons beyond what I have already mentioned. It is so comforting to know he is in great hands when mommy is working.
I have sent all 4 of my children here and still have 3/4 enrolled. We have not been anything but satisfied. We have kids with different personalities, but have always felt they have gotten the attention and love they need. I toured about 16 different centers and had a level of indescribable comfort when I walked through their doors. Their security is top notch by having someone at the front desk buzzing people in so they know every person walking into the center. They have video recorders that I can check in on my kids throughout the day. Their playgrounds are age appropriate and safe. The teachers are fantastic. We even use some as babysitters for date nights. They are very breastfeeding friendly and knowledgeable with milk preparation and storage. Their pricing is very fair compared to other centers. I had one start kindergarten overly prepared and one starting this year that also tested “beyond ready” for kindergarten. The owners are on site and love your kids like they are their own grandchildren. I have had my kids enrolled as early as 12 weeks to one that didn’t start until 3. I couldn’t be happier and I wouldn’t send my kids anywhere else!!
Kids and co. has really gone downhill since they have switched to corporate. The teacher turnover is absolutely insane. We have had a kiddo here for the past 4 years and it’s steadily getting worse. Now they are so shorthanded there is no one at the front anymore, they have parents cards to get in but you can let people in by opening the door for them if they don’t have a card, no one is monitoring it. My son said he was served chicken from a can at summer camp. I am very disappointed in the direction this school is headed. We used to love KRK… hopefully they can turn it around.
We took the tour of Kis R Kids, loved the school. We described my daughters behaviors and previous daycare experience, they did say if she needed any extra help they could provide that and if she needed 1 on 1 assistance they could provide that. We started her there and on DAY 2 they said she is too delayed and said they couldn't handle her and asked us to leave. AFTER TWO DAYS?! AND NO REFUND. Found out my daughter is on the autism spectrum. I guess if you have a cookie cutter kid then it would be a great place for your child, but I will not recommend them to ANYBODY and have made sure people have known my experience with them and will continue to do so.
Love KRK! We love getting the boys' daily reports at the end of each day and being able to peek in on them throughout the day on the Watch Me Grow App. Our youngest (2yo) took some time to adjust but our oldest (4.5yo) loved it immediately. We have always referred to daycare as "school" and every night and every morning was a fight with our oldest about going to school (in-home daycare). Now, he looks forward to school everyday, and learning and seeing his friends and teacher. I had mentioned that we had issues with getting him to eat at his previous daycare, but that has completely changed since starting at KRK. We are excited to watch our boys learn and grow with KRK and we are no longer hesitant about our oldest being ready for kindergarten next year. We know he (and eventually the youngest too) will do great, thanks to the team at KRK!
