Underwhelming as far as YMCA's go... However the staff are very welcoming and polite! Always polite with great energy... It's an old building, small with a lot of character... They have a pool with 4 Olympic lanes as well as a water slide, a midsized gym, full basketball court and a halfsize indoor track. 3 stars for the building but the staff make it a 4...

I have been going there in 2020 but due to some health issues I didn’t go back until last month. Wow a lot of things have changed for the worst. It looks like this building has not been kept up. The ladies locker room doors are so rusted inside and out you can’t put anything down because there’s rust all over. It needs to be updated. This place is getting old and it’s not attractive like it was years ago you go everywhere in there in this whole place is full of rust. I can go other places where it’s more attractive and I don’t have to worry about bringing rust home with me on my clothes or my towel from the water or the women’s locker room.

If I could give no stars for this day camp, I would. My grandson attended this camp and forgot his water one day when there were heat advisories. They never called his parents who would have immediately made sure he had water. The staff did not supply water and my grandson was crying and parched when picked up. This was such a serious mistake for the YMCA to make in keeping their campers safe. I cannot express how horrified I am with how he was treated. He is 7 years old. Needless to say, he never returned and never will.

I’ve been trying to get a simple issue resolved since April with no response. I followed up multiple times and even told David I would leave a review if I continued to be ignored—so here we are. This place has a massive employee turnover rate, and it shows. No one follows up, and communication is almost nonexistent. If you cancel your membership, beware: they’ll still charge you for the following month, even if you cancel well before the next billing cycle. And do not put your child in their before/after-school program. Young kids are grouped with much older children, and there are only two staff members watching over 30+ kids. It’s completely unstructured and unsafe. My child was hurt multiple times. As a kindergartener, she had the wind knocked out of her by a much older boy—and no one from the actual organization reached out to inform me. At best, you’ll get a brief incident report from an after-care worker. Otherwise, you’ll hear about it from your child on the way home. In one especially alarming incident recently, my daughter was repeatedly hit by another boy during morning care. No one intervened. She was sent to class in tears. It was her school teacher who noticed, sent her to the nurse, and the nurse had to walk down and tell the before-care staff that what happened was not okay—and that they should have notified me immediately and treated her injury on the spot. I’m actually having my daughter switch schools entirely because of the bullying she experienced in Y Club—with no support, no resolution, and no recourse. The summer camp is also no better. I pulled my daughter after a couple weeks. She came home with sunburn from scalp to toes and was suffering from heat exhaustion. The kids are outside all day unless they’re swimming or using the restroom. Most of the staff are teens who are clearly not trained or supervised. They don’t remind or encourage kids to apply sunscreen, reapply it, or stay hydrated. Most of the time, the staff were just chatting with each other instead of actually watching the kids. This place is a liability waiting to happen. Save yourself the stress—and protect your child—by going elsewhere.

Great friendly staff, great instructors and equipment to rival any workout facility. Great place to meet new friends too.
