Just Kids Learning Center

My son has been in and out of 3 daycares in Delaware county throughout his toddler years and I thought that I’d just have to homeschool him due to the nature and neglect of all the places we have been … until I toured Just Kids. I am beyond grateful for the staff here and how I see them nurture all the children. My five-year-old used to cry during the mornings we were getting ready for school, now that he’s at Just Kids every single day that he wakes up even on weekends he is excited to go back.

My family and I have been a part of Just Kids Learning Center for over 13 years. We have two children who have already gone through the center, and continue to choose Just Kids for our youngest child. The owners, Barb and Diane, have created a thriving center which encourages the children to grow emotionally, physically, and mentally. During Covid, Barb and Diane fought hard to keep the families in the center and the staff well cared for. There was excellent communication for what we could expect. I feel my child is completely safe at the center knowing how seriously Barb and Diane take everyone’s well-being. My children have always been excited for their day at “school” with their teachers. The majority of the staff have been there for years, with several of them being there as long as my family has been going there. This consistency has so many advantages. The staff get to know the children and their families very well and therefore are better able to help the children with their individual needs. I have never worried about my children’s safety while at Just Kids. In fact, the owners and staff have alerted me when my child was a bit off/was tugging more at an ear/etc. Only because the staff was so caring and observant, was I able to figure out that the signs/symptoms of an ear infection looked much different than “normal” in my middle child compared to most kids. We absolutely adore the owners and staff at Just Kids. I am so grateful my little ones have gotten to grow up with such caring adults to help guide them. I cannot say enough about the kindness, fairness, and support the owners and staff have provided to my children over the past decade!

I don’t even know where to start. I enrolled my oldest son when he was about 2 and a half almost 3 years old. After having a bad experience at a local daycare I used to hold near and dear to my heart. I found our forever home in childcare! The owners Barb and Diane are wonderful. They are professional they communicate and are reliable. My son started at this school timid, shy and what other childcare providers would say is “worried he is not up to par”. Not even 6 months later my son had developed so many more words into sentences, independence, and more. If it were for Just Kids I don’t think he would of evolved the way he did. We love them so much my youngest son has been enrolled since an infant at 3 months old and my soon to be newborn will be the newest member in November. Not to mention the teachers are outstanding! They are patient, attentive, and involved! Safe to say my husband and I will continue to keep our children in this center at all costs! We are forever grateful and couldn’t thank them enough!

I have a child that is in the older Toddler room and one in the infant room and The staff has always been professional, welcoming and caring for both of my children. I love the fact that they are organized and structured. Nothing gets lost, missed placed or overlooked. The teachers are responsive and engaging. It’s a pleasure to know that my children are excited to go to school each day. I would definitely recommend just kids learning center for children of all ages.

Both of my children started at Just Kids in 2015/2016 (in the infant or early toddler room) and both stayed until Kindergarten. My wife and I spent a lot of time researching local daycare centers and could not be happier with our decision to go with Just Kids. We have not had a single bad experience at the center and without hesitation highly recommend them. Just Kids is a low-tech operation and in hindsight we feel the pros outweigh the cons. They don’t have live streaming cameras like some of the other centers we visited. However, the center is on a single floor (no stairs) with two main rooms and an open floor plan – you can see almost the entire space from anywhere, so there really is very little opportunity for someone to be alone with your child. We also liked that the outdoor area the kids play in is connected to the back of the building and fenced in so there is no opportunity for the kids to wander off when transitioning to an outdoor play area. You won’t get pictures of your kids sent to you from the teachers throughout the day like some centers do, but this is by design and allows the teachers to stay fully focused on the kids. Most importantly, the staff is fantastic – professional and sincerely invested in the well-being of the kids. Barbara and Diane, who co-own the center, are exactly who you want to care of your kids – they are good, responsible, caring people and run a tight ship. Another reviewer mentioned that many of the same people are still with the center that were there when their kids started. This is true and I agree it says a lot about the environment they have created. When I drop my daughter off, it is almost always one of the co-owners that greets you. Same goes for pickup. Our son transitioned well from Just Kids to Kindergarten and we felt like he was adequately prepared by their Pre-K program. Also – with respect to Covid, we felt like their procedures to minimize the risk of infection and communication with the families were as good as you can get under the circumstances.
