Enrolled my infant on a Friday , his first day was on Monday received a phone call Monday afternoon that the center was closing. Now please tell me how nobody knew this ? After touring another daycare I learned that they were not following a lot of lic rules . Went to pick up my child’s stuff walked in the room teacher had her whole lunch out on the counter where the prepare bottles . They say it’s a secure building but the code to the door is the same for anyone. So I could still walk in there even though my child is not going there because the code is the same.

Today was my child's first day of child care and it was a terrible experience. My chld cried continously in the cafe with little to no effort to console. I on looked from a monitor in the lobby noticed this behavior as I waited up front awaiting a director as one of the staff stated, " I'm not going to do this all day and I should make you clean your own mess." I found this to be rude unprofessional and hurtful for a child to experience and for a parent to see take place. Afterwards, I spoke with a director briefly to help with the situation to no prevail. I removed my child from the daycare immediately. I hope this help the facility to improve training and follow policy upheld by the "Texas Health and Human Services for child care". No parent or child should ever experience this level of service.

I regret ever enrolling my son. When I first enrolled my son in the transition room it was back in November. I was so glad I could trust where he was. All of a sudden, all of his original teachers have quit and are constantly being replaced. His friends all started to disappear as well. I can't tell you how many new faces I've seen in just his room. He has come home home on multiple occasions covered in bruises all over his legs and face and I've only been provided a incident report twice. The first time I had to call and wait for them to tell me how he got a bruise under his eye. He constantly comes home sick due to their cleanliness. In a room where babies are crawling they do not require you to remove your shoes or put on shoe covers like most child cares do. He has also recently come home with a diaper rash ever single day for almost 2 weeks. Yesterday was his last day and when I picked him up his diaper and shorts were soaked. It looked like he hadn't been changed in HOURS! The menu they serve is a joke. They gave my 12 month old a crispito for lunch and it resulted with him breaking out in a horrible rash. He also always comes home starving which also worries me. The assistant director is very rude and always seems to be gossiping at the front desk in the mid morning. This facility is also supposed to lock their front door after 8:30am but never does. Ive walked in plenty of times and there is no one at the front desk. I don't feel that my child or anyone else's deserves to be neglected by this establishment. Especially one with no curriculum. I beg you to please think twice and look around before enrolling your child here.

My kids have went to New Horizon's Since it opened back in 2012. This Childcare is by far the BEST place for your kids to not only be well taken care of but learn a lot and gain a family. I can honestly say they treat my kids like their own and are always loving on them and doing what is best for them. If you are looking for a childcare, afterschool care or summer program look no further you will not be dissapointed in the atmosphere, teachers and great program they have.

Please find another center to enroll your child at. Dysfunctional, unsafe and unorganized. I’m sure some of the staff is great, but the leadership here is poor. A babysitting center and a very poor one at that.
