What Parents Say
Current parents praise Pasadena Christian Preschool as a warm, loving, play-based environment with experienced, caring teachers and strong emphasis on social-emotional development and spiritual growth. The school offers diverse activities, good staff-to-student ratios, and preparation for kindergarten. Two negative reviews from the 1970s describe harsh discipline practices at the school's former name, though it is unclear if these reflect current operations.
Pasadena Christian Preschool has been a warm and loving environment from the moment we toured. It is a play-based school that centers on Jesus and the fruit of the Spirit. Every classroom is lead by a highly experienced and caring teacher, with assistance from at least one (if not two) other great teachers or staff, making for higher levels of personal engagement with my child. They are well supported with a variety of indoor and outdoor play areas, art supplies and activities, and have special events almost every month. We love that they have their own chapel and learn about God through books, music, and dance. My kid has grown a ton social-emotionally and will be well prepared for kindergarten.
I can attest that the school is now a very loving and supportive environment for children K-12. My child has gone here since kindergarten and is about to graduate. We have received so much support and collaboration during that time. There is very much an emphasis on supporting the whole child, mind, body, and spirit.
I went to this school way back in the 70's when it was still named 'Reynolds Christian Academy'. It was pure horror to go there. The teachers where so strict and mean! They would beat us up a lot! They had a purple painted board with a hole in it and they would hit us with that board so bad......it really was no fun going there! Hope things have changed.
I loved PCS when I attended. Every single teacher was caring and customized their teaching towards how the students learned best. One of the best schools in Cali.
Went there way back in the 70's. Hopefully structure has changed and the small minds that hurt when you did not come from a great financial background have stopped. Too judgemental at that time.
