My 4 year old has been going here for two years. Best daycare and preschool. Not only has he learned so much, but they have affordable rates. The teachers are always friendly and quick to sit down and answer any questions or concerns you have. At a daycare, you’d expect your child to come down with normal sicknesses from being around the other kids, but they are such an intuitive clean facility that they are ON TOP of illnesses and keep parents updated when there is an outbreak of a sickness. My son has had normal colds and such, but nothing like you’d expect from being enrolled full time. They text parents and keep everyone up to date. Their teachers are consistent which says something about the business. I am proud my son is apart of a community with such high standards and values.
I so wanted to love this establishment! And at first I did! My son (3 yr) started around June or July of 2022, no issues whatsoever, everything seemed wonderful, let's come to November, I come in to drop my son off, blindsided, your son is being kicked out. What? Why? What even led to this? He's too much, he's sweet doesn't do anything wrong just too much for us. Does he have a diagnosis? Excuse me...what? The entire time my child came to this establishment I was never once told of these concerns, was able to fix anything or was aware of anything going on. But okay I guess he's kicked out now...the communication was awful, God forbid a single mother that I am be blindsided with this, not knowing what's going on with her child and having to find a new daycare, because this establishment thinks an active 3 year old is ADHD and should be doped up on Adderall, his doctor has no concerns. Really poor management and communication. Really disappointed.
My daughter loved this place!! But honestly we got behind on payments! We made up our payments just to be told that we was still behind!! And Jamie has the worst attitude of all stating that she was "tired of working with us on payments" and just today stating that because we found another daycare that "my boyfriend and I didn't like them because we had to pay" we took our daughter out for summer and the reason we won't be coming back because of Jamie's attitude and 2) because it seemed like everytime we turned around we owed more and more!!! And there was a time my daughter walked in with a doughnut just to be taken away from her
My children have went there for years. I have never had my children come home and have something bad to say about HCLA. When I go to pick up my kids, they don't want to leave. In my opinion, when your children want to stay longer, that's a sign of a great daycare/preschool.
Negligent staff, on more than one occasion they have intentionally hid incidents that occurred with my children from me and then lied about them. Embarrassed and shamed my four year for having an accident. Incapable of account balancing so they can overcharge. Told me there are places for kids like mine. Not a very Christian environment, certainly not evident in the service values or mission.
