I love Grove Baptist church in been a member for a long time i was bron and raised in Portsmouth grew up in st. John baptist church moved to churchland and and joined Grove now i stay in williamsburg and still go to Grove as long as God continues to wake me up I don't ever plan on leaving i feel God message every Sunday come with a open heart and mind and see for yourself
I enjoyed the 8 am service! The service ended between 9:30 and 9:40. The preachers message was short but impactful. Truly found the message helpful.
I called these people over 20 times not at first just a few phone calls ask for help for my friend who lives in Portsmouth who had her electric abruptly turned off with children in the house and dogs in the house no way to cook take a shower so on and so on and these people we're so rude and they hung up on me and when I called they would not answer the phone when I called from a blocked number they wonuld answer the phone and then get rude very extremely rude especially the black lady that answers the phone and not take my call and hang up on me in the midst of a literal emergency 90° weather and my friends and electrics off and transfer me to somewhere that is in the black hole of the universe where there's no one there extremely rude people there not I would not suggest dealing with this church unfortunately extremely sad coming from a church of all places that you would go to call to see if they could help you at least get your electric turned back on or find someone that can help you these people are so rude and ignorant it's a disgrace
I was looking for new church and found Grove. I love that the church feels alive, the word is good and everyone is friendly. I gave it 3 stars because the music is slow and seems it all sounds the same. I love a good worship song that makes me want to sing along and their's doesn't. As big as the choir is it seems the same person always sings the solos. I am looking to make Grove my home church
If you are looking for a place of worship to feed your spiritually being, this is the place. The pastor is awesome. Come worship with us and you will see and feel for yourself the Holy Spirit who will lead and guide you in all truth. Come, fellowship with us. It's not a form of religion here. You will find salvation in this blessed divine place of worship. COME!!! The word of God is taught and preached at Grove Baptist Church.
