What Parents Say

However, one parent reported safety concerns including unexplained injuries and inadequate staff responsiveness to incidents.
Ms. Louis and staff are highly professional!! The building is always bright and spotless! The staff are helpful and actually care about the children's wellbeing! The curriculum is excellent! My child is advanced for her age however, Good Foundation Academy has far exceeded my expectations and have taken my child's edcuational advancement to new levels! Thank you for such an awesome school year!
I absolutely love Good Foundation Academy , this is my first child and his first time ever attending any public schools. My son loves it. Within the time there so far my son has learned alot and is still learning. Good Foundation Academy has great holiday activities and engaging activities during school hours for the children. All the kids are so sweet and respectful. Thanks for such a wonderful experience
I'm a little late with my review...2007 my son attended pre-k there. I am forever grateful for his wonderful experience. He was in Ms. Jackson's class. I would come and read to the class after I got out of school. The children were so friendly. He is 15 now I want to bring him back to visit. This place was a major blessing to us. I still have his little graduation shirt ❤ I have a lot of pictures. Thanks again
I am a Pre-K teacher at Good Foundation Academy. I am responding to Ms. Genet Girma's comments. My grandson also attended Good Foundation Academy, therefore I'm very familiar and confident with the parent-teacher aspect of the program (and not just the teacher's point of view). I absolutely loved this school and the teachers there when my grandson attended. Ms. Lillian was the BEST pre-k teacher ever. I've been a pre-k teacher for only six years, but I've been a certified educator for almost 30 years. Yes pre-k teachers have to be degreed and certified here in the state of Georgia. I won't claim to be the best teacher, but I do try my best to do right by my children, however like the old saying goes.......IT TAKES A VILLAGE. The village has dissipated in the past 20 years or so and parents are expecting teachers to do what they aren't willing to or won't do themselves. The thing that has disappointed me in these 6 years of teaching pre-k is that the families are not reverencing education as our elders did. As an educator, I need you to work with me to get your child where he or she needs to be. Education is a three prong ring, which consists of the child, the teacher AND the parent. Pre-k gets your child ready for kindergarten, but often we aren't being taken seriously by many of the parents......frequently being late and/or tardy is NOT a good look if you want the best for your babies. If you're not showing up until 8:30/9:00, the child has already missed a huge portion of the learning day. You will also need to assist when necessary and reinforce at home what's being taught at school. Also there is a curriculum that has to be adhered to, which can be found on the Bright From The Start website. I enjoy teaching pre-k so much more than when I was with the bigger kids, but I do have a problem when I'm attacked and you haven't done all you should concerning your child. I will continue to do my best by these children and pray the best for future classes. Ms. Tangela, Pre-K 1 Good Foundation Academy
Im so mad at this school which is I have never been happy .my daughter goes to pre k 1 class the whole 10 months she didn't learn nothing ...the thing that she know is that I tought her befor she start school .and yesterday she had a test to start the new school for kindergarten but she didn't passed the test!..they say she didn't know the sound words and pre primer sight words..those are the things that other school want them to know...she don't know none I know it wasn't the right school for my baby but i didn't have no choice at that time.when they had field trip two weeks ago I went to All good kindergarten school with them and the kindergarten teacher told as prek is kindergarten kindergarten is first grade which is my daughter teacher ..was surprised about that because her students Supposed to know all the things that kindergarten students know .. her students should learn a kindergarten class level . I was like what you didn't know ?I was searching school until I found this school all other school system is the same which pre k is kindergarten level kindergarten is first grade level..I dont have personal problems with anyone in this school but if you want a bright future for your kids this is not the right place at all ...I am not happy i am so disappointed that the school that i chose for my baby wasn't go through!!! all I can say is this school is just daycare that you can just drop your baby and go work not school to learn.who ever is owned this place they need to work on there teachers so they can give all the best they have for our community so that our kids they can have better future !!
