We absolutely love The Goddard School and are so grateful for all the wonderful teachers there. We want to give an extra special shout-out to Teacher Rylee. She is truly the kindest, most amazing human ever, and we feel incredibly blessed to have her guiding and nurturing our son. Her warmth, patience, and positivity make such a difference every single day—and we can’t thank her enough!
I currently have a 9 month old and 3 year old enrolled at the Goddard School. Both of my children started in the school at 8 weeks and both have excelled in all milestones. Knowing my children love school, especially in early childhood, is one of the greatest advantages a working parent can have. The teachers are incredible, from their educational backgrounds, the lessons they plan (delivered to you daily in a report) and their ability to modify plans to fit each child is a unique feature to this school. My children are not only learning every day but they are loved and cared for and nurtured. I am forever grateful to the whole Goddard team.
I can't recommend this school enough. My children loved going to school everyday. The teachers are top notch educators and people. The school is organized and thoughtful in their curriculum and event planning. My children has a fabulous social foundation and love for learning thanks to the tireless efforts of this community.
In September of 2023, my 12 week old son started his 1st official week of daycare at this school. There was a terrible accident on the 4th day of him being in the classroom. I was told by the Assistant Director that my son was being carried by one of the teachers, when a crawler stepped in her way and tripped her, which resulted in her dropping my 12 week old son. Instead of the Assistant Director and Director calling the hospital and asking me to meet them there, they called and left me a VM. The voicemail insisted he was okay and they didn’t think this was a head injury. When the Assistant Director called me to make me aware of the incident, she got my VM. Instead of calling everyone else on the emergency contact list in our file, her only attempt was to make me aware that my son would be bringing home an incident report as she explained to me on VM. They sent home an incident report stating he had a raspberry on his forehead. We took our son to the children’s emergency room that afternoon and he had suffered a fractured skull and bleeding in his brain. The next morning, I was told by the Owner when she called to check on my son, that in all 20+ years she had owned a daycare, she never had an infant dropped. Right then, I realized that she should not own and operate a daycare facility. The owner of a school should be required to put a child’s life first and have them checked immediately, especially when a head injury occurs by an accident that she herself had never seen happen in her years of experience. Head injuries are serious, infants being dropped in your care are serious, and should be taken with the most extreme caution, especially when the child is not yours and you are not a doctor. Instead of the Goddard school taking our son to the hospital or at the very least calling every contact on his file for us to make that decision, they left a VM and insisted he was okay. I’m writing to warn other mothers/parents. Before joining this school, I would insist you understand the protocol for head injuries or infants being dropped. I would insist you ask them to rush your child to the emergency room if he or she is dropped by a worker or experiences a head injury. I never want another person to have to experience the nightmares I have gone thru as I sat in the hospital room sobbing by my 12 week olds hospital bed watching him suffer and hoping this wasn’t the end of his life. I’m traumatized by how this school handled my child’s life, and I pray he will not suffer long term damages by this incident. Accidents happen, but the way you handle them as a Director of a daycare facility, are extremely important. Decisions should be made with the child’s life above everything else.
It was an amazing experience to see our daughter attended this school for ~ 1.5 years. The staff is well educated and trained in early childhood development which makes a huge difference for the parents and overall development of the child. They put efforts in positively transitioning the child into the classroom, interaction with classmates and the activities. They truly are a 5 star school, would like to thank the staff and teachers esp. - Ms. Tana, Ms. Chantel, Ms. Terry, Ms. Pamela, Ms. Michelle. Thanks for all the love and care you provided to our daughter, amazing to see her grow leaps and bounds in confidence, curiosity and enthusiasm. Would highly recommend this school to everyone.
