Great school for some students.The amazing teachers are hired out from foreign countries. Great for language immersion. French teachers from France. Spanish teachers from Spain. Chinese teachers from China. But that comes with pros and cons. This year Principal Weber cut faculty so class sizes are huge. I am withdrawing my son because he is getting left behind. With overwhelmed educators and a principal that either doesnt care or wont help the situation, there is no one to help individual children. My daughter who is polar opposite in personality to my son does fantastic at this school. We will be keeping her in. We all have our opinions on how things should be run. Great school for some, not for all.
Good school, yes. Does it need to improve, totally. My grandson had a great first grade teacher Ms. Christina Yuste, she had the passion for teaching kids. This year is another story. Some teachers need to understand that teaching fifth grade is not the same, as kids in second grade. Maybe she has been trained to be a teacher (the correct way is to be taught to be a teacher and of course the person has to have the passion of teaching) when this happens people become rigid. They don't adapt well to changes. When you're taught you learn to adjust in different circumstances and in this case to any grade. So that said, I encourage this teacher to focus in teaching those wonderful kids and try to adapt to this grade and school and give the best for them.
The Pre-k, kindergarten teachers and director are absolutely amazing. They went above and beyond to care for and teach my child in an appropriate manner. I love this school. The teachers are amazing and truly care about their students. The school has a family feel and the staff take pride in knowing all of the parents and really doing all they can to help kids grow.
Love it so far! My son is at his 2nd year at the preschool, and my daughter is now in Kindergarten. The teachers have been AMAZING! I can't imagine why anyone wouldn't want to give the gift of language and cultural understanding to their children. Looking forward to many more years. 😀
Do NOT EVER send your children to Global Village International Preschool they refuse to accommodate special needs students. They treat their students differently (my mixed child) they pick and choose favorites. They treat parents rudely and inappropriately. Refuse to allow my son to eat his food. I have gotten a phone call almost every other day saying my son needs to leave because he's "unmanageable" he's 4!! Anyone who knows my son knows he's not an out of control bad kid! They just want him out of their school because he doesn't fit in with their "look" the director LISA is extremely unprofessional and so rude to the point I will record our future encounters. Nobodies child deserves this!!!
