This place is like family to me. They have always taken great care of me and my kids. I love the teachers and the program director really cares about my family. The kids are always busy and doing something fun! Highly recommend!
It's clear the staff at Roots to Wings care about the whole child. They prioritize kids being able to be themselves. Kids spend lots of time playing outside or doing crafts. Staff is enthusiastic. Our 1st grader had a great time at after school care here. Bonus: They rarely close, have options for activities over break, and when Highline shut down for the cyberattack, they opened their doors for all-day care for no extra charge. They're kind people who understand the struggles of working families and genuinely love kids. Plus they take care of transportation from the elementary schools to the program.
My niece loves it here! Every time she comes into town to visit they welcome her in with big hugs and smiles. The teachers show her so much love. She is never ready to go when the day is over. Definitely and tell the difference.
I have really thought about not making a review because I am a nice person, but when it comes to child I do not take things lightly. I only worked at this daycare for less than 3 months because of my experience. I have 3 years of childcare experience and when I applied to this daycare, I thought this was a place where we help teach children in order for them to successfully grow. As you can see by my review that was not what happened. Most of the staff have no patience for kids who have a hard time expressing their feelings. I felt I was the only one making sure these kids were shown love and made sure diapers were dry. The owners of this daycare especially the male owner are very disrespectful to their staff and had a hard time keep staff because of it. They put on this persona that they help kids learn and grow which is not true, all the kids do is play with toys, eat, nap and repeat. I have never worked in a childcare who only cares about money. Take it from my experience, find another childcare for your children. Somewhere, where they care about children first and money second.
