My kids love FB Meekins! The teachers are well trained, patient, so kind and loving with the kids! I love the outdoor, play based program that they offer. It really helps every kid learn in their own way. Because Meekins is a co-op, you really get to know all of the families really well, and in turn you get a great community of support. We still have great friends from this school and my kids are thriving in Elementary School! Definitely recommend!
I feel so lucky that we found FB Meekins! It is such a special place and a really great community. We have had two children go through Meekins. We found Meekins when our older son was 4 and we were trying to decide whether to put him in K or hold him back a year. The kindergarten program gave him an intro to kindergarten and gave us a much needed extra year to decide if he was ready to go into first grade or if he needed to repeat kindergarten in public school. This took a lot of pressure off the decision. Meekins is play based and outdoor focused. I dress my little ones for the weather (any weather!) and they come home so happy! Some of the best days are the rain days when they get to splash in puddles and make mud soup. The teachers and staff really care about each little one and help them grow into confident humans.
Best. School. Ever! If you want your children to learn through play and to spend a majority of the day outside moving and creating- this place is for you! The teachers are a real gem. They are beyond qualified and experienced. They and most others stay here because they really and truly love being here. Plus we have chickens! I feel lucky to be a part of this amazing community!
FB Meekin's Cooperative Preschool is a fantastic institution that provides an excellent environment for play-based learning. Both my son and daughter attend and have thrived under the care of the dedicated teachers and administrators. As a cooperative preschool, Meekin's offers the opportunity for parents to be a larger part of their child's development, which has been an incredibly rewarding experience. Additionally, the affordability and long-term tenure of the teachers and administrators make it an attractive choice. Our family found our home at Meekins. My son enrolled in 2022 and their play-based learning model was the perfect fit for our child. Spending most days outdoors, our child has had the opportunity to run and play in all kinds of weather. I’ve had the opportunity to make lifelong friends.
