This is a wonderful school and our daughter has loved attending here! They have lots of outdoor play spaces and even horses on site the kids can ride. The staff is caring and attentive to each child. It's play based and so the kids spend a ton of time playing on the playground, doing art projects, and more.

We are so happy here. I transferred my daughter from another local preschool and she is thriving. I feel they've done a great job of challenging her without overwhelming her. The staff and other families are very warm and approachable. We found that it is considerably less expensive than other preschools in the area... particularly when you factor in that there aren't any additional charges for activities. And they get to ride horses every week! We are really looking forward to sending our son here next year - and absolutely recommending it to all of our friends with preschool age children.

This is a great school who has really supported us as a family and enabled our children to learn through exploration and outdoor play! Our experience here as been and continues to be nothing but wonderful with the helpful staff, wonderful teachers, and caring owner/director. Our children's favorite activities include playing on the large firetruck (the one closest to the driveway) and watching the chickens. In the summer they LOVE going down to the stream. We couldn't be happier and would recommend it!

It has been a little over a year since our daughter began at HMCDS and she loves it there. As we got acclimated, the animals were a big help. Visiting the horse and pony was a daily touch point for us as we came and went from the school. HMCDS was known colloquially in our house as "horsey school." The play based approach is perfect for us, but may not be for everyone. Costs are reasonable. Follow through from everyone at HMCDS has been impeccable. The teachers and staff are all lovely, smart people who strive for excellence and genuinely care about the children at the school. That gets picked up by the kids directly in lessons and also just by osmosis. No small part of what we want from a school is to help us raise a decent, caring person. I think the director/owner, Sharon, does a good job. She's busy. She can be curt. More importantly, she's protective of the kids and protective of the staff. We're lucky that she's here. After all, she operated a stable business (pun absolutely intended) as a childcare provider through the COVID era. So I think it is safe to say that she could probably go be successful at basically anything.

They potty trained my kid! When my daughter started summer camp here at 3.5 years old, she understood the concepts and procedures of going potty but she just refused to do that. Within a couple of weeks my daughter is willing to go potty by herself! Thank you Christina for all the care and love and magic!
