Our son (now 4) has been at the First United Methodist Child Enrichment Center since he was 3, and our experience has been nothing short of exceptional. From the very beginning, he has thrived in an environment that balances warmth, structure, and curiosity. We feel especially grateful for the phenomenal Mrs. Travers, who is not only a strong advocate for students but also an incredibly generous resource for parents navigating early childhood education. Her guidance, support, and open communication have given us confidence and peace of mind as our son has grown. His teacher, Miss Faye, has also been instrumental in his development—patient, kind, loving, and deeply invested in creating a classroom where every child feels encouraged and capable. While we are not a religious family, we have genuinely appreciated the values and sense of community that the program instills. The emphasis on respect, kindness, and responsibility has complemented the academic and social learning in a way that feels holistic and lasting. Our son has developed not only strong early learning skills but also a sense of discipline, compassion, and confidence that will serve him well as he transitions into kindergarten. We couldn’t be happier with our choice of FEC. The teachers and staff go above and beyond, and it shows in the joy our son brings home every day. We wholeheartedly recommend this school to any family looking for a nurturing, enriching, and well-rounded early education experience.

I have been a teacher here for the past seven years under the direction of the center director, Mrs. Travers. This preschool offers a wonderful foundation for the children! They have a great curriculum and I love the staff! I strongly recommend First United Methodist Child Enrichment Center and am very blessed to be a part of such a wonderful and nurturing environment.

First off , Mrs. Travers is by far the sweetest person you will ever meet and she is very understanding . Absolute best! The teachers especially Ms.Tina & Ms.Fayann are very welcoming to parents and children . They also have an app called 'Bright wheel' and the teachers send you pictures throughout the day of your child only and the things they are doing . They also give you updates on nap time and snack time . It gives us parents a piece of mind knowing our child is enjoying their day . Would defiantly recommend to family & friends ! :D

What a wonderful, magical school. This school is full of love, kindness, and learning. My daughter attended the Child Enrichment Center from two years old until she graduated from pre-K. She left very well prepared for kindergarten. But, more importantly, she left as a socially well-adjusted, thoughtful, and caring citizen of this world. This place is so special. The teachers have a visible passion for their profession. They care about your child's academic progress and emotional wellbeing. The principle, Mrs. Travers, radiates warmth and kindness. I would have kept my daughter in this school until 5th grade if they had offered it. When you leave your child here, you know they will be safe and loved. It truly is magical little place.

First United Methodist Enrichment Center is hands down the best in the area. The quality of service given to the children bringing them up in Godliness cannot be overemphasised. My 2 boys attended this school. My first son started at the age of 3 not really speaking and not potty trained but in less than a year he thrived. Ms Travers, the manager of the school is AMAZING!! While being professional still shows empathy and warmness towards parents and kids. Whilst being firm on the kids she was able to balance her warm motherly role in the lives of the children. All the teachers are equally amazing omg! They genuinely care for the children. It’s like one big family. My son graduated and it was so emotional. Now he’s in kindergarten and still remembers the values he got from FUMC! Do not hesitate to get your kids on the right path! This place is the best hands down!!!
