First Discovery Child Development Center

We have been with First Discovery Academy Oyster Point for 3 years, and I cannot say enough good things about this center. At one point, we tried another daycare, but it just didn’t compare—and when we came back, Ms. Peggy and Ms. Lindsay welcomed us back with open arms. That meant so much to our family and truly showed the caring, supportive environment they create. Both of my children have thrived here. The teachers are attentive, loving, and committed to the kids’ growth and happiness. The staff communicates well and makes us feel like part of a family. It gives me peace of mind every day knowing my children are safe, learning, and loved. We are so grateful to Ms. Peggy, Ms. Lindsay, and the whole First Discovery team for all they do. I highly recommend this daycare to any parent looking for a nurturing, trustworthy, and dedicated place for their little ones.

We have had a great experience with FDA. The staff have been great, and our daughter clearly loves her caregivers there. I’m very happy with the activities and lessons planned throughout the day, so even though she is just two, she is learning a lot and getting lots of stimulation. It is pricey, but in line with other similar facilities in the area. It is kind of annoying that we are still charged tuition over the holidays when they are closed for an extended period of time, given that I then have to also pay for a sitter on top of that if I still want to be able to work. (It’s not that I don’t think the staff deserve paid leave — it’s honestly just that philosophically I’d rather pay a little more a week all year to fund that, then have to pay full price for a service that is unavailable and causes me to lose a quarter of income or more for the month by missing work for a week or more.) That said, my understanding is that that is a common practice to charge even when a facility is closed. Overall though, we are very happy with the care and education provided.

My daughter had a wonderful experience in their Wobbler (Pre-Toddler) Room during the summer months. The teachers are incredibly caring and attentive. The front office staff had great communication and kept me well informed. Thank you for being a part of our village.

First Discovery Oyster Point has been amazing. Both of my kids attend there and love it. We’ve been there for 2 years, they’ve learned and have grown so much. I can honestly say we have had no issues. The teachers are great along with the office staff.

I cannot express enough how grateful I am for the care and support my daughter received at First Discovery Academy - Oyster Point. From the very first day, the staff made us feel welcome and reassured, and it was clear that my daughter was in a loving and nurturing environment. The teachers and caregivers are truly dedicated to the children, providing a safe and stimulating atmosphere where kids can learn, grow, and have fun. My daughter looked forward to going to daycare every day, and it was heartwarming to see how excited she was to spend time with her friends and the wonderful staff. The communication from the daycare has always been excellent. I appreciated the regular updates on my daughter’s progress, activities, and even the little milestones she reached. It’s clear that the staff genuinely care about each child and take the time to get to know them individually. The facility itself is clean, well-organized, and filled with engaging toys and learning materials. I am also impressed by the variety of activities and educational experiences offered, which kept my daughter engaged and excited to learn. Overall, First Discovery Academy has been an amazing experience for my family, and I highly recommend it to any parent looking for a caring and professional daycare. I will always have fond memories of her time here, and I am so thankful for the positive impact it has had on my daughter’s early development.
