What Parents Say
Explore and Discover Center for Early Learning receives consistently positive feedback from parents, particularly praising improvements made under new ownership. Parents highlight strong academic outcomes, secure facilities, caring staff, and a clean, well-structured learning environment. The facility has undergone significant renovations and security upgrades since transitioning from its previous management.
My children attended Explore & Discover for the last 6 years. My youngest son started as an infant when I returned to work after maternity leave and he progressed through each classroom until he graduated from the VPK program. I know he graduated with kindergarten readiness because he just scored a third grade equivalency on his mid-year kindergarten state assessments. Explore & Discover was a clear choice for us, and I will forever be grateful to these women for the care and early learning they provided for my kiddos.
It’s been almost a year since the transition from Patch 2 to Explore and Discover and the change could not be more apparent! Every day I am greeted with warm smiles and kind hearts. The facility has cleaned up the environment so much for these kids. With newer toys and books for the older kids, a revamping of the education rooms for the smaller kids, and an overall change in the atmosphere, it’s like a brand-new facility! Miss Debbie has installed so many security features, with both cameras in each room, and locked doors between the lobby and the classrooms, I’ve never felt so safe with my child in a daycare. Beyond that, the teachers are amazing. The school aged teachers really care for the kids and support and encourage their sense of self and learning. Now that it’s summer time, it’s incredible the amount of activities that are planned for the kids. Every day they are out being active, which is what all of the kids need during the summer. Honestly, I’ve never felt more safe or happier with a daycare.
Explore and discover has practically raised my children. My daughter has been there since she was 6 months old and she is about to turn 5. Always clean, structured learning environment even for the babies which has always impressed me. This is more than a daycare. My son graduated their vpk program and was ranked the highest in his kindergarten class. As a single father I have greatly benefited from all the hard work that they have put into my children because I know if they were left elsewhere they would not be as well rounded as they are.
The best of the best!! I have 4 children that attend this school and they do a fabulous job teaching them so much in such fun ways! but most important to me they have a great balance of love and discipline and communication with me. I adore you you all and am forever grateful to be able to be a working single mom knowing my babies are in the best care.
My child experienced being hollered at on her first day at preschool by her teacher who was extremely unfriendly. The preschool teachers are more than questionable. The teacher brushed right passed my shoulder as we left and when I said goodbye she just looked at me. Not friendly at all. Went to pick up my daughter the second day and walked into a room to about 25 kids all trying to use the restrooms at the same time. Some were half clothed and having issues. You could tell it made some of the little girls uncomfortable who were trying to use the restroom. I noticed a little girl close her legs and cover her private area as a little boy looked on while he washed his hands in the same bathroom within arms reach of her. It was quite disturbing as there was absolutely no privacy and not one adult was supervising it as they were preparing for the next activity. My daughter went here for two days and the lack of professionalism from everyone except the owners is again, disturbing. Everyone’s standards are different, but I still think of the children in that preschool sometimes and hope things are well for them. After my daughters first day, we discussed that night about her second day and she cried and cried saying she couldn’t go back. That should’ve been my first clue.. she should’ve never attended a second day. I pulled her out after the second day and placed her in a new school and she has done nothing but thrive there from the kind staff and teachers.
