What Parents Say
EXCEL II in New Bern receives overwhelmingly positive feedback from most parents, who praise the friendly, educated staff and safe, nurturing environment where children are happy and learning. However, one parent reported discriminatory treatment based on voucher status and sudden unenrollment without warning.
Excel #2 is the absolute worst!!! They single out people who use vouchers. If you dont have money they single your kids out and dont want them there. If your kid doesnt fit into a cookie cutter mold of what they think every child should be then they throw them out like trash. They dont meet children where they are and work with them. If they arent perfect and the parents dont have money to pay out of pocket you'll be without childcare. Director doesnt have any communication skills. Teachers tell you one thing then director comes at you with a whole different story. I was told everyday that my kids day was fine. These people know I had just looked at a house. The day after I signed my lease they kicked my kid with no prior warnings at all. I lost my house a month later. Lost my job. Lost everything because of these people. Dont waste your time with this unreliable sorry excuse for child care.
This is by far the worst excuse for child care I have ever seen. My 18month old daugther attended for almost a year, then one Thursday afternoon I was called and asked to pick her up and not bring her back .She was apparently being aggressive towards other children. O was told this behavior had been consistent over the last few weeks. My issue is the complete lack of communication. Over several weeks not a single employee informed me that she was at risk of expulsion .A conplete joke. I inquired daily as to how her day was and was consistently told how good it went .They told me when she needed diapers or wipes. But not, oh she pushed a kid down, or if she does it again, she cant come back .Nope .Just out of the blue, "dont bring her back" words don't describe how disappointed I am in this establishment. It really makes me wonder what else I wasn't told, or what else other parents are not informed of. Over the past year there have been a few bruises on her that I assumed must have been random falls. But now given that I know that her daycare doesn't convey issues to parents, it really concerns me that she may have been beaten or neglected whole in their care.... I would advise every parent to look elsewhere
I have trusted this Excel location with caring for both of my children for the last 4, almost 5 years and they have always taken the best care. Definitely a wonderful place for kiddos
My son loves going to school and sometimes doesn't want to leave. The staff are very friendly and I trust he is safe, learning and that's he's having a fun day.
Excel is a wonderful center! The staff has education on early childhood and are always super friendly!
