Evelyn Street Day School

Very unprofessional experience. I confirmed my backup care for my child a month in advance, sent all paperwork, and even got confirmation by email. Just three days before the start date, my reservation got cancelled on the bright horizon portal but there was no direct notice from the daycare. When I followed up with this daycare, I got an email saying they can't do because of lacked staff. If I hadn’t reached out myself, I might never have known. For a family relying on backup care, this was very and frustrating.

Very unhappy about the backup day care through Bright Horizon. We scheduled a week of day care for our two kids almost a month in advance, only for it to be cancelled just 3 days before it was scheduled to start because of staffing difficulties. This left us frantically scrambling to find alternatives at the last minute. Please think twice before using that service through this provider.

My daughter went to this day care for a year and I am so thankful that we chose this one. She received so much love from all of her teachers and staff, and often expressed love for her teachers and classmates - looking forward to go to school. If you're looking for a school that has amazing staff - you will have peace and trust that your child is in great hands. My daughter went from 3-4 yrs and greatly grew in her writing, speaking, concentration and social skills. I don't think we could have done it through home-schooling. We also appreciated that they fed the kids healthier organic lunches and snacks, which we try to do at home as well. Definitely check the school out and take the tour if you are searching.

Evelyn Street Day School is a blessing. Our son has progressed leaps & bounds from when he started preschool here. We are eternally grateful to all the staff at Evelyn Street Day School, who are all so caring, sincere & genuinely concerned for the children attending their establishment. I love how meticulous the school is in dealing with all rules and regulations regarding our children's health & well being. My wife & I can rest assured our son is safe and well looked after each day he attends school here. If you are looking for peace of mind & confidence that your child will gain all the necessary skills for kindergarten, Evelyn Street Day School is definitely the place for you.

We visited 5 nursery schools in the area when deciding where to send my grandson and the decision wasn't even close! We chose ESDS not only because it was were my grandson seemed the most comfortable, it was were we were the most comfortable. From the moment you meet Lucy the owner you feel like you will be leaving your child with another grandparent. The staff is friendly, happy and engaging. While we were on our tour we saw several children run up to staff to hug them and trust me we didn't see that anywhere else. My grandson is very shy, only verbal at home and wears a hearing aid. We have not had one issue with any of this. The staff has embraced it all and makes us feel confident. They never make you feel like you're asking too many questions or you're "being a pain", in fact they welcome communication. Their goal is for your child to want to come to school everyday! The school itself is clean, bright, sunny and cheerful! The food is healthy/organic! They do interesting things with the kids, like plant gardens, greenhouses, etc. I could literally go on and on about the ESDS! Trust me you will not be disappointed if you enroll your child here.
