What Parents Say
Parents consistently praise Early Childhood School of Georgetown for its warm, caring environment and experienced staff with low turnover. The school is recognized for its play-based learning approach, strong social-emotional development, and clean, safe facilities. One family noted it wasn't the right fit for their child transitioning from Montessori, but appreciated the staff's care and the owner's responsiveness to concerns.
As a parent, it’s never easy to leave your child in someone else’s care, but from the very beginning, the Early Childhood School of Georgetown has put my mind at ease. My daughter is so happy and excited to see her teachers and friends each morning. The level of care, warmth, and consistency at this school is truly remarkable. The teachers are not only experienced and nurturing, but they genuinely know and understand each child. There is also very low staff turnover, which speaks volumes about the supportive environment for both children and educators. As a person who also works in the ECD space, I appreciate the school's approach to play-based learning with a strong foundation in social-emotional growth, creativity, and community-building. ECSG isn’t just a school to us. It is a community and truly our second family.
Both of our kids have been attending ECSG since they were 5 months old (now 4 and 2) - it’s been amazing to see their growth throughout the years and the many special teachers & staff that have made it possible! We have always felt that this was a safe and loving place for our children and love that it’s right in town!
After researching many childcare and preschool options in the area, we finally found a wonderful option for our two young boys at the Early Childhood School of Georgetown. Susan has pulled together a dynamic, active and passionate group of educated caregivers that provided our kids with not only a warm, caring and engaging environment to learn and grow but also a strong and thoughtful curriculum that proved to give them a solid foundation both academically and socially. The facility is warm, clean and bright and the outdoor space is ample and safe. It is without hesitation that I would recommend ECSG to anyone looking for childcare options in the area.
While this wasn't the right fit for our toddler coming from a Montessori, it's clear the staff care about the kids and that they enjoy their time here. It could be a great school for many families. After an initial refusal by the staff to refund our deposit following a misrepresentation about the curriculum, the owner called and apologized and made things right.
Susan and her assistant Kate were amazing did everything to make this first visit fabulous. Very patients and professionals.
