This was our first time ever skiing and I have to say, Loveland did not disappoint! We had such a great time here! The staff was great! The rental process was easy! And the slopes were amazing! We will definitely be back! Skiing at Loveland is possibly a new family christmas tradition now! 😍🥰
We had a wonderful time at the Loveland Ski Area! As beginners, we found the staff extremely kind and helpful, great slopes no matter your experience with very clean and accommodating facilities. We will absolutely visit again!
Loveland Ski Area was absolutely perfect for our family. You don’t have to be a millionaire to ski or snowboard here—unlike some of the other resorts in the region. We picked Loveland because it fit our budget for multi-day skiing for our family of six, and the lift tickets were literally half the price of neighboring resorts. Because of that savings, we were able to put everyone in full-day lessons on day one. Then on day two, we skied on our own while our 5- and 7-year-olds enjoyed a second private lesson that basically doubled as daycare (winning!). With prices this low, you’d think the experience might feel “less than,” but Loveland far exceeded our expectations. Every instructor we interacted with was phenomenal—especially the ones working with the younger kids. The staff fitting boots and skis were awesome, the lifts ran flawlessly, and the snow conditions were great. The magic carpet areas for the little ones were perfect for building confidence. The on-mountain food was solid too—think fast-casual ski lodge comfort food like burgers, chicken tenders, hot dogs, mac & cheese, and chili mac. Better than we expected and perfect for warming up between runs. Overall, Loveland delivered an incredible experience for a fraction of the cost. We’ll definitely be back!
Loveland is the best! Beautiful, well maintained runs, friendly staff, short lift lines, and all around wonderful energy. 10/10 would recommend for an awesome skiing experience!
Great! Highly recommend for learning lessons!! In the (snowless) winter of ‘25-‘26, we had the best runs here. Most of the trails were open and none were too icy. I went with a group of 4 but separated since I went for lessons at the Valley and the other three went to the Basin. Travel between the two is simple—the shuttle comes every 5-10 minutes and the route is only 0.5 miles apart. Very easy to park in one lot and shuttle to the other. Service: Everyone was super kind and helpful! From asking for directions and directing people in the rental/lesson lines, everyone seemed eager to help and approachable. ⭐️ Wynter helped me with getting my gear and she was great! ⭐️ Massimo taught my adult level 1 lesson and was patient with our large group. He was funny with great jokes while also giving helpful tips throughout the day. He did a great job of trying to keep the level of the lesson the same since we had a wide range of experience. Food: A great selection of food! Not just your typical chicken nuggets and fries, although they were available as well. Chili, pasta and even vegetarian options like black bean burgers and vegan chili — it was very inclusive! To note: With the number of people that day, we had 3 groups of 8 adults, each group with one instructor. Throughout the day, staff had mentioned Loveland is the best place to learn and after seeing all the lessons and classes, I can say I agree! It was extremely crowded in the learning area but all staff was helpful and most people were patient. Just a few people collisions!
