I had taken my children to this facility for about a year. Starting out I had no complaints and really enjoyed watching my kids grow close with their teachers. We dealt with some passive aggression from admin here and there but whatever. The issues really started when they moved my daughter to pre-k too early. That curriculum is odd why would you put a 3 year old in pre-k I’m not sure but we went with it. Then started getting calls that my child was having behaviors and eventually started being sent home almost every week. My husband and I lost sleep and countless tears shed wondering what we were doing wrong and how could we fix this. We saw a child psychologist who told us she was fine after a few months and saw no reason to continue seeing her. Still the behaviors continued and we had meetings with admin multiple times to go over a plan of discipline and, you guessed it, more passive aggression from these women. My child started not wanting to go to school at all and told me every morning she had a stomach ache in hopes I’d keep her home. One morning We had gotten a message from a prior employee that the administration do, in fact, have “favorites” and mistreat those who are not in that group. Yelling, separating students from their groups, holding/restraining them when they say they absolutely do not do that ever. When the allegations were brought to their attention there was no mention of checking the cameras they have in every room to verify the claims and only negativity and gas lighting and getting that kind of “you can’t fire me I quit” energy about them. However I saw some kids that really enjoyed being there, so maybe this is only one person’s isolated experience. Or maybe not because there are multiple posts just like mine. I wish those ladies nothing but the best truly, but I am glad my children are not there any longer.
We have been attending Wee Care Learning Center since November of 2024. We absolutely love being apart of the WCLC family and have seen our daughter really thrive since starting. They were patient with her as she acclimated to the new routines and faces. They always give us daily updates with pictures, happy moments and daily activites. Our daughter has been learning so much, coming home with new skills and knowledge. She is a picky eater and they always communicate her progress and try to accommodate her as much as possible. The staff is always so enthusiastic and friendly. I can't say enough good things about this place and I feel so blessed to have found such a wonderful place for my sweet girl to learn and play while my husband and I work. ❤️
I had a great impression from the building and the environment but after spending time in the center, their shiny outside started to fade and the real problems started to show. I would never want my children to go back there with some of the current staff and administrators. It really makes me sad to think about how they treated my son and I'm just grateful we are no longer there. I wish there was more I could do to make sure they don't hurt another child but I've done what I can. Only wish we would have had other options and unfortunately we didn't have another option at the time. Since leaving, I'm grateful to have my son back to the happy and confident little boy that he was before the staff at Wee Care tried to constantly tell him he had a problem. I can only imagine what he felt each day going to school to cause such a drastic change in his personality. I blindly trusted the administrators that they had the best intentions but they were the source of the problem. There is a feeling of high school where you are either part of the "favorite" families or you are not. I didn't really care enough about that annoying aspect of the center but it's ridiculous that it's part of the aspect of taking your kids there. They stress about parties and pretty pictures for social media but they don't actually seem to want to train their teachers on how to be a teacher. I initially didn't have doubts of the safety of the building, however, at the end I started to see it wasn't strangers that would hurt my son, but rather the staff. I just hope they don't continue to do that same pattern with another child, but I'm sure they are.
Wee Care Learning Center in Vandalia is not only an amazing place to work but an amazing daycare for your child. I have had my son here for almost a year now and every staff member here is so sweet to him and love and cares for him. They are also so sweet and open to everyone, I’ve made friends with everyone here so easily and I appreciate that love everyone has here for one another. The office staff is AMAZING! ♥️ They work great with workers schedules and parents, very understanding people and everyone here just wants the best for the child and the families!
We've been a part of the Wee Care family since the beginning of 2019. Our experience with the daycare before made us hesitant to trust anyone else, but the staff at Wee Care immediately made us feel welcome and right at home. You can see the bonds they form with your children and I can go to work in peace knowing that my kids are with people who will protect them. Our toddler is thriving and learning something new every week and our infant is well adjusted. They're both excited every morning to see their teachers. The care they provide is worth the 25 minute drive every day. We love our Wee Care family!
