Dorothy'S Discovery Daycare II

Whoever is driving their bus needs to lose their license and/or job. Brake-checking cars, changing lanes into other people with no turn signal, etc. For a bus to be transporting children to be operating in this manor is negligent.

I cannot say enough positive things about Dorothy's! Here are the things we've come to love about it: - Family-like atmosphere. From the admin staff to the teachers to Ms. Dorothy herself, I haven't met a person that wasn't warm, friendly and welcoming to parents and children alike! - Smaller class sizes. From my personal experience, Dorothy's does not "work the numbers" like many other daycares. Classes are kept under capacity and I really feel like my children get a great amount of personal attention. - Flexibility. Due to my husband having a serious illness, we've needed to change our schedules repeatedly. Ms. Dorothy always works with us and we've been nothing but pleased with the way she's handled our schedule changes. - Price. We didn't pick Dorothy's because the tuition was the cheapest but are finding we really get the most for our money at Dorothy's. - Teachers. I have so many individual stories of the ways Dorothy's teachers have taught and cared for my children. We are very pleased with the way they interact with and care for my children.

My rambunctious son, who will be 8 in Nov. has been attending her school-age summer camp for 3 summers now. Finding full-day, event filled, quality care was a big challenge. Dorothy's team managed to keep him active, out in the community, and surrounded by kids in his age group. The play yard on site is an event in itself. . . They attend movies, swimming, and games with other centers. In addition to that, Dorothy is one of THE MOST down-to-earth, realistic, and caring, professional Women I have ever met. I love her because she loved my son and never once gave up on him despite difficult behavior -- I recommend her every change I get!

The absolute worst experience. Completely unprofessional and unorganized. After trying to get ahold of someone for a month, Dorothy finally emailed me back. Once I responded to her email trying to set up a tour, she stopped responding. I called the center again and finally got ahold of Caroline, who scheduled a tour for us. When showing up for the tour, no one was aware of the scheduled tour. We finally got into the office, Dorothy asked if she could call me to schedule a tour for a different day, this was last Thursday. I have not received any communication. Not a call, not an email. I’m not sure why they don’t want us at their center. At this point, I wouldn’t even be comfortable enrolling my child at their center. Extremely disappointed.

I love Dorothy's! When I brought my son and daughter to Dorothy's Discovery Daycare, they had never gone to a daycare before. So I wanted to make sure I found the best daycare center for my kids. After researching and visiting numerous facilities it was clear that Dorothy's was the best! That still did not ease my worries though. I didn't know how my kids would adjust to such a change. Needless to say the transition was a huge success! When my daughter was tested for kindergarten (She has an October birthday so she just made the cut off date) She passed with flying colors! I would recommend this daycare center to anyone. Dorothy's Discovery Daycare is clearly the best in my book.
