Discovery Days Elc Infant Center

I wish there was a rating star as high as infinity that I could of use for rating Discovery days! Let me start by saying that our beautiful daughter made us to change 3 daycares in 5 months before we found discovery day. She was crying not only at drop off but all day in those other places and it's funny that after 2 months of crying, one of them actually asked us that it might be too soon for our daughter to stay in daycare " yes that's crazy" until we found discovery day! Well she was also crying all day over there in the beginning too but they were very patient and professional and very soon made this experience so fun for her that she didn't even want to leave there. Discovery day is different in many ways. Kids feel they are playing in their own backyard rather than some commercial looking typical playground. Teachers are so caring and friendly. Owners are two lovey young couples and they literally made this place like their second home. I really think there is no other place better than discovery day for kids.

We really loved our time at Discovery Days! Our little one attended from about 18 months to 2.5 years in both the young toddler and early preschool programs, and blossomed tremendously while there. In addition to lots of outdoor time, messy play, art, math, science and reading - there's music, yoga, hip hop, Spanish, soccer, baking and more! Our family felt really lucky to have found such a clean, beautiful and affordable facility with excellent teachers and staff. The BrightWheel application and the building security measures also helped to give me considerable peace of mind as a first-time parent. Lisa, the director, and I really connected on the Reggio Emilia and R.I.E. philosophies that DDELC use in their care and curriculums, which tend to be gentler and more child-focused than a lot of other places. We will also miss the community of this place - other families are friendly and active in school celebrations and fundraising. Many of the teachers have been with DDELC through several years of growth, from a home-based businesses, to two campuses, which goes to show the respect and consideration given to the staff, and the successes of this center. Oh, and did I mention the elective monthly Saturday schools and Parent Nights' Out - where your child can be with caregivers they know, at a nice place for the fraction of the cost of a date night babysitter?? This place is really special! We are so sad to leave it, but things have changed for us, and we'll be moving from the area. Otherwise, we had planned to stay until Kindergarten! We heart Discovery Days!
