my kids had been going to Mothers Helper in Cottonwood heights. ( worst daycare I have ever dealt with). Anyhow I called many places to talk about my current situation with my son (4 year old) and no one would listen to me or even want to give it a shot. I finally talked to Devlins Child Development Center and they were willing to give him a shot. Sense all my children have been here. ( I have a 4, 8, 1 year old) they love it. They have not had any issues and absolutely love the teachers there. The teachers are loving, they care truly about you and your children. The atmosphere is so uplifting. My kids used to cry going to day care now they run to their teachers and tell them they love them. I would HIGHLY recommend this daycare. I am blessed to have found such an amazing place to take my children.
We love Devlins! Our baby has been in the 1-2 classroom since the end of July and we have been so happy with her care. The teachers are the happiest, sweet ladies you will meet. I love that they speak Spanish in the classroom & that my baby gets some second language exposure. The director is so good about texting me during the day if something comes up. I’m so grateful for the teachers and the staff at Devlins! They are fabulous!!!
One of the kindest abd down to earth staff I have ever met. They do a great job of keeping my child engaged as well as us as parents. We moved a few miles away from when we started with Devlin’s and when we talked about if we’re going to change daycares to accommodate the commute we unanimously said “no” aloud. This place is what gives me a comfortable feeling when having to drop our daughter off.
I started my kids at Devlin’s when one was 2 and the other was 3. Devlin’s way of being with your kids during the day is through attention, support, play, and have a way of disciplining through child development strategies. I feel it is very safe and my kids have loved coming here! I looked at 5 daycares before I selected Devlin’s. My kids absolutely adored every staff member, enjoyed their days and made a great circle of friends. I really loved having my kids socialized at their young age. They have learned negotiating skills, expressing themselves being around kids their own age. Devlin’s staff helped with potty training as well – a never ending thank you. I think the staff handles emotional and behavioral issues that come up with kids very well. Their meals are great and the facility is kept very clean and sanitary. I really like they have two play areas, one for smaller kids and one for older kids. I like the kids spend time outside when the weather is nice. For me, I thought they provided a good balance of learning numbers and letters, crafts, down time, and playing. I totally recommend Delvin's.
My son went to Devlin's from infant until he was about 18 months old. Leaving was tough. On his last day, his teachers (both current and past) threw him a party, made him a collage of pictures and all signed the back with notes saying how much they love him and hope the best for him. The building itself is older, kind of dark inside, but their playground for the toddlers and the older kids is great. My little boy learned lots of Spanish while he was there, too, which we loved. When he would miss days out sick, Rayne, the director, would call and see how he was doing and ask if there was anything that she could do for us. All of the teachers knew my son well and he loved going there. I loved all of his teachers because I could tell how much they loved him. They were great for us!
