If you want to keep your child from picking up bad behaviors and a dirty mouth I advise not sending them here. While Ms.Jayme and Ms.Solomon are professional the rest of the rotating staff could use much training especially the light skin bald headed deputy. My child started attending last school year and there was always something going on with him but I could never be given the full story. They would say my son said something but couldn’t tell me what happened prior to that, they would see my son react to other kids but couldn’t confirm if my child started it so they never went forward with suspensions. This school year was no different, there were 2 incidents were my son was suspended and it was absolutely questionable considering how many different stories I got but the deal breaker was the deputy storming towards me telling me my young black son is violent and I’m making excuses for him while I was asking the coach what happened. Blaming my child for a plethora of situations that he didn’t even witness himself but berating not only myself but my son in his face. Because of this I withdrew my child and am now left with an $120 balance because I choose not to trust a staff that clearly has more kids than what they can handle.

If you want your child to start acting out and having bad behavior. This is the place for you! The price is what brought me here but I quickly realized this was not the place for my child. My child is shy and soft spoken and never had any behavioral issues, of course an attitude here and there but nothing crazy. After putting her in this after school program, she started having very bad tantrums, and just bad behavior all around and I was shocked because she’d never acted like this before. I thought maybe it’s because it’s her first year in school and she’s adjusting. One of the coaches even had to tell me she hit another kid. (She was very unprofessional about it and told me in front of all the other parents, instead of pulling me aside or calling me when it happened) I didn’t even know what to say because it was hard to believe as she literally is so shy and has never hit anyone (sisters, cousins, no one) After the Christmas break, I decided to take her out of this program, and you will not believe that she has not had one more tantrum since then and she also made honor roll this quarter. The unprofessionalism with this staff is disgraceful to the Boys and Girls club as a whole. My child would tell me that the coaches are mean and yell at them, and I brushed it off at first thinking well maybe they are being bad. I’m so glad I listened to my gut. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy.

Is an outstanding place the staff is really nice
