I started going to church here 3 years ago after the birth of my second son. My husband and I were starved for a welcoming community with an active group of faith-filled parents. We were so lucky to stumble upon CCCC and are now involved inside and outside of the church with the friends we've made here. This is a church that does WAY more than go through the motions, they truly do their part to do good in their community and make every attendee (long time or first time) feel like they're coming home every Sunday. OH and the music is performed by some of the best musicians in the area! There's a little something for everyone.
I am so proud to call Country Club Christian my church home of over 25 years. Open and welcoming to all. There are enriching and educational opportunities for all ages, providing even more connectivity to my church family. Please don't let the name or location deter you! Our Country Club name stems from our being in the Country Club district of Kansas City. Nothing more.
So inconsiderate to the city to shut down Ward Parkway so your parishioners- what? -don't have to walk more than twenty feet? Clearly, funding isn't the issue. This group is out to serve themselves. #buildyourownparkinglot
I drove by and had to stop after seeing the architecture of the building. there was a massive wood sculpture of the last supper inside. I couldn't believe the detail and it left me wondering about the artist Domenic Zappia and how much time and effort he put into making this Magnificent sculpture. the stained glass windows had amazing detail as well. i appreciate that they let me see these great artworks.
We just moved to KC and are looking for a new church. We wouldn’t call this the most welcoming church. There were no hellos or welcomes from any of the parishioners. Even the usher walked past us a few times without saying anything. I said a few “good morning”s but I only got back the slightest wry smile. But I did take the opportunity to say a nice prayer for the Chiefs today.
