What Parents Say
Congregation Beth Emeth is a highly-regarded Conservative Jewish synagogue and preschool center in Herndon known for its warm, welcoming community atmosphere. Parents consistently praise the quality of its full-day preschool (BEECC), religious school programming, and inclusive approach that welcomes families of all backgrounds. The center is recognized for its experienced staff, engaging activities, and strong support for children with special needs.
Beth Emeth has been our second home for the past 13 years. All the leadership that we have encountered have been warm and welcoming. Our children's special needs were met from preschool all the way through High School including our award winning youth group. For example, to ease my daughter's anxiety about studying for her Bat Mitzvah, they started her learnng early to give her extra time to practice. Services are engaging and all are made to feel welcome. Children are often brought up to the bima to join in leading services so that they are more comfortable when they have their Bar or Bar Mitzvah. I highly recommend Beth Emeth.
The CBE community has been wonderful to my family. The Rabbi and religious school leadership in particular have been very welcoming and helpful. My son had had a very positive experience with the religious school. I would highly recommend this congregation to anyone.
Beth Emeth is a warm & welcoming community that lives its values. Services are led by a combination of the rabbi and a rotating group of volunteers who serve as cantor. There are regularly scheduled services for preschoolers on Saturday mornings. Friday night services are filled with music and are much shorter than Saturday. The congregation also boasts a full day preschool during the week.
CBE is a warm, welcoming congregation. It was my 2nd home for more than 20 years when I lived in VA. It was so welcoming and friendly that my husband decided to convert after 17 years of marriage! It has a bustling preschool, an inclusive religious school and plenty of adult learning. They have a lovely social hall for all of your simchas. The staff, lay leadership and congregation are all available to help you navigate your way into Jewish living. Small congregation feel with large congregation amenities. I miss you all!
My oldest son graduated the preschool at CBE two years ago and I still have two children attending the preschool. Last year we joined the congregation We felt welcomed and on several occasions one of a more senior members would reach out and invite us to join events and activities.
