This is a true Montessori academy that fully lives the principles of respecting the child & fostering a love of learning through play. In 2 years here, my daughter has blossomed into a deeply curious, creative, passionate learner. She’s built a special bond w/ her all of her teachers, especially Mrs. Sandy, whose kindness & guidance have been a gift. And Tiffany Sheppard, the incredible Head of School, is the heart of the community. She is thoughtful, genuine, truly devoted to every child’s well-being. I am forever grateful for the foundation this school has given her. If I could give 10 stars, I would!
Our toddler has been at LOMA for 2 years and we are very happy with the school. As an infant, she had a medical emergency at the end-of-day pickup. The NIDO teacher Helena, the head of school Tiffany, and others all sprang into action. They remained professional throughout as they provided care for our daughter, called the paramedics, and calmed her distraught father. After this traumatic event, several took initiative and obtained relevant medical certifications in case this ever occurred again. We are forever grateful for the LOMA family! Today, our child is happy, healthy, and loves the school so much that lately we have to struggle just to get her into the car to go home! She loves her teachers, her friends, the activities, and numerous family events!
LOMA has become part of our family over the past two years that my son has been there. The incredible leadership, teachers (guides), and teaching assistants have given our son so much love, nurturing, structure, and support. He has truly blossomed at LOMA, and we are ever grateful for this community. The level of communication from staff puts parents’ minds at ease, the peaceful environment is welcoming for kids, and the curriculum and emphasis on independence help little ones grow and thrive. If you want your child in a Montessori school, LOMA is the way to go!
My son has been attending LOMA since he was 2 years old and it’s been a wonderful experience! At age 4 my son started to have challenges managing his emotions and his teacher Ms. Kendall work with me to create a personalized growth plan, which has allowed him to identify his triggers and manage his emotions better. Overall, the school is a family away from home for him and that’s what I love about LOMA!!!
We came to LOMA almost 3 years ago after a rough experience with a different location and I didn’t think I’d ever be able to trust anyone but myself with my girls. I walked into LOMA the first time and was immediately greeted by Ms Tiffany who was the most calming and welcoming presence. I knew from that moment this was the place for my daughter. From that moment on, we joined the LOMA family. When I say family, it really feels like one! The LOMA teachers and staff have always answered all of my questions, have provided the best advice, and provided an environment where my daughters have grown exponentially. The creativity of the teachers and staff has provided so many different experiences for the kids. They are always sending new photos of different crafts, activities, nature walks, learnings. I’m honestly jealous sometimes at how much fun and love getting to hear what they are up to. We also have a parent connection group to get involved in helping plan events for all of us. I’m starting to get to know other parents too, and my girls love all of their friends there. We love LOMA, I’ll be super sad when it’s time to graduate to public school. It’s provided so much for our entire family.
