What Parents Say
Parents consistently praise Childtime at Harbourside for its caring and stable staff, strong leadership under Director Ragan and Assistant Director Susan, and quality educational programming. The facility is noted for excellent parent communication through the Sprout About app with in-room cameras, reasonable pricing for the area, and a family-oriented environment that successfully prepares children for kindergarten. Multiple reviewers specifically credit improved management and teacher retention as major strengths.
We joined Childtime at the Harbourside location in 2022 when my son was 11 months old. As a new mom, I was anxious to leave my baby in a new environment. Unlike most daycares in the area, Childtime has cameras in all of the child rooms and I would probably spend most of my days on the app just making sure he was doing ok. But after a while and a change in the director/assistant director, I know that I can leave my babies (I now have a 1 year old and 4 year old attending) and not have to worry about anything. I have talked to so many parents that have concerns with their daycare centers and having high teacher turnover. One of the many things I love about Childtime Harbourside is that the teachers that have always had my heart and that have taken care of my four year old are now taking care of my 1 year old. They have always loved on my kids and we are so fortunate to have them as a part of our everyday lives. (Shout out to Ms. Anna, Ms. Sophia, Ms. Caitlin, Ms. Kether, and Ms. Katie that have been our day ones since starting Childtime Harbourside). And of course, I should add, that all of the teachers that are currently there, as I am typing this, are angels. We've only had the most positive experiences with the teachers past and present. Ms. Ragan (Director) and Ms. Susan (Assistant Director) work incredibly hard to ensure the kids are happy and in a safe environment. They ensure that all class rooms maintain the legal guidelines of teacher to child ratio and (I have witnessed) support their teachers so well. I can always talk to them about a plan that best support my kids and have always been communicative, responsive and direct for all questions that I have had. I would obviously give this place more than five stars, it really is the best.
We have been at this specific ChildTime for almost 6 years. We transferred from another ChildTime center due to issues. When we transferred to this location, they had a new director for this location. That has since changed and they brought in Ragan to straighten things up. I was a little concerned at first with having my son there and a baby on the way with teacher turnover and a new director again. I will tell you that they turned it around! Ragan and Susan have been wonderful to our children and family. There are so many great teachers that we love that have taken such great care of our children from infants to school age. They enforced workbooks and lesson plans to prepare them for the next room/class. They prepared my son for Kindergarten, and we are going through that process again with our daughter. This is such a great daycare. On another note… If you are looking at comments from 2+ years ago… that was completely different leadership. If you’re looking for a family centered/feel of a daycare, this is the place for you and your family.
We absolutely love this Childtime! Both of our kids spent several years here from the Toddler class through Pre-K. It was an incredible experience, and we really felt like we found a new family. Ms. Ragan and Ms. Susan are some of the most awesome, patient, and caring individuals I have ever met and my kids absolutely adore them. Both Ms. Ragan and Ms. Susan, along with the teachers and staff, are great at communicating and I always knew what my kids were learning/doing in class. I also appreciated how well the regular day-to-day activities balanced learning with play. I strongly believe that this really helped prepare my kids for success in Elementary school! They had already learned things that their peers were only hearing about/starting to learn for the first time. I was also thrilled that this Childtime offered extra/optional activities that my kids could do during the day (like soccer, kidokinetics, and dance). There is an extra fee, but my kids really enjoyed these and it saved me so much time! I wholeheartedly recommend this Childtime to anyone who is looking for a nurturing and safe place where curiosity is encouraged.
We found ChildTime on Harbourside while being new to the area and after touring several daycares. ChildTime really stood out because of the decent pricing, nice facility, excellent curriculum, and wonderful staff. My daughter has adjusted really well! She loves all of the staff members, is making new friends, and is learning a lot. I appreciate that they are truly preparing the Pre-K class for kindergarten. I also love participating in their events. The Sprout About app is great. I love being able to check in on my daughter. Her previous daycare didn’t have that. The daycare also partners with several other organizations that makes it easy for your kid to participate in extracurriculars. My daughter attends a dance class once a week right there in the school and will be doing a recital as well. I definitely recommend ChildTime on Harbourside to other families 😊
In Feb 2026 we will celebrate the first anniversary of putting our son in preschool. It was a heart wrenching decision after having him home full time for his first 3 years of life. I made a spreadsheet of all the area centers, to compare their hours, meals offered, edu philosophies, general vibes, and cost. As someone who apparently makes too much to qualify for care assistance but not enough for the monthly cost to not rival my mortgage payment, finance was ultimately the deciding factor. But as the year went on we couldn’t imagine our son anywhere else. Now that it’s time for our second born to start preschool the decision to stay here was easy. Regan, the director, is like an angel on earth. She’s exactly the type of person you want overseeing your child’s well being. Our son loves her and feels safe with her. Bri, the preschool head teacher, is warm, capable, and understanding.
