My girls have gone here for years and they love it. My oldest is begging to go back because her younger sister has so much fun. Teachers are friendly, don't turn over monthly like some other child care centers, and Miss Angie is so great with all of the kids. So glad we found this place years ago! Only downside is that I have to pass like 10 other child care centers on my way, but I wouldn't change anything about this place.
I've had my son enrolled at Children's Park North for the last 3yrs and have been satisfied with the level of teaching and activities that they've offered him. However, just recently they've changed management and I've seen a major spike in performance for him, as well as a positive shift in the atmosphere. I've seen a wonderful change in qualified teachers, as well as the professional flow of the day to day running of the school. This location is the best school in the area and I definitely think it is a safe place for our kids to spend their time. I give it two thumbs up! Also, the pre-k curriculum is off the charts great!
If I could give 0 stars, I would. We have used this daycare for several years, with 2 of our children. We recently enrolled our almost 2 year old, and he lasted 2 weeks. Over the 2 weeks, he sustained multiple falls and blows to the head, so bad that one day I was called to come and get him to get evaluated for a concussion. All from running I was told, immediately after his fall, he fell again onto the window seal and busted his lip. To me it seems like they are understaffed, and too overworked to actually watch any children. Aside from this, he came home wearing another kids diaper, that is TWO sizes too small, as well as almost every single day he would come home extremely thirsty- immediately chugging his full 8 OZ cup. As well as there were multiple times his teacher was not there when I was dropping him off at 7:15-7:30, so I would wait until someone got there to take him into a class. And the last straw for me in just TWO weeks, he came home one day with finger bruise marks on his forearm (I also received 2 calls this day, from him falling and hitting his head, twice). When I alerted the director about the bruises on his forearm, she had 0 questions- just an apology for it happening. I am extremely dissatisfied with the care my 2 year old received and will definitely not ever recommend this daycare to anyone. I have received 0 follow up calls on anything, frankly because it seems like no one cares. Run, far away from this daycare.
I appreciate Childrens Park North! Miss April in the Pre-K class is So attentive to my child as well as the other students. You can tell there all content. It’s so important for me as a mother to see that my child is getting the support and guidance from her daycare and that her teacher Genuinely cares and loves my daughter as well as Her peers:) Angie is so kind and helpful with anything my daughter may need. She makes sure it gets done and is always greeting me at the front no matter how early or late in the day! I feel I’m able to trust this school and the staff to make sure that there always available for my kid and needs. My daughter still Loves going to children’s park north!
I want to be open and honest with other parents out there because my experience with Childrens North Park was very worrisome as both a parent and a clinician in a Healthcare setting. I have an 11 month old baby boy and have had him in daycare at (CLA in Coppell) since he was 6 months old. We loved CLA and had a very positive experience there. Unfortunately we had to move and so then began our search for a new place in Rockwall. Initially when touring Childrens Park North it seemed to be a very nice facility, the staff appeared to be friendly and not to mention everything seemed extremely organized. We decided to place him here after our tour. He spent approximately 4 days at this facility where we showed up at different times daily for pick up. Both my husband and I noticed a trend in his classroom. There were 4 other kiddos along with my son and they were ALWAYS positioned in the feeder tables or placed in a crib and where no one was eating or sleeping. This was very concerning to me as both an Occupational Therapist and as a parent. This is not good for a young childs physical, emotional or social development to be placed in "baby jail" is what I call it. It appeared to me that the teachers were more interested in keeping the kiddos self contained rather then allowing chaos, exploration and social interaction, which are all essential at this age. Now I had every intention of addressing my concerns to both the director and the teachers to allow them to self correct and hopefully see change within his classroom. However, on the 4th day after picking him up (again found him placed in the feeder table and he was no longer eating) I carried him out of the classroom. I overheard another teacher in the hallway with 4 or 5 other kiddos around the 6 to 7 year old age, she was yelling at one of the children. She was not just raising her voice, she was yelling! It was very disturbing to me. So disturbing in fact that I ran out with my baby so that I could calm down and later address the situation with the director. After a couple of hours or so I then called the director to address my concerns. She was very receptive, however she had mentioned that both issues that I brought to her attention have been ongoing concerns at their facility. Needless to say I will not be returning to Childrens North Park. No child deserves this kind of neglect or to be the beneficiary of someone's lack of training and/or common sense. Please reconsider this daycare. After searching there is better for your child which we plan to place him some where else come Monday morning.
