I have had my fair share of encounters with children's aid society with their foster and adoption program. I highly recommend them to all that have a dream of fostering or adopting. The staff balance work loads like Champs, are friendly and efficient with finding answers when needed. The foster department has had multiple workers go on last minute trips for their families and the children. The adoption staff go beyond expectations with their profiles and life books. The group of caseworker are so easy to talk to and will do everything in their power to make things right. Multiple families have switched over to children's aid society from the county and from life span and are highly impressed. I can't wait to start my journey of fostering with them in the future.

The Pre-K counts program has helped my son so much! They made sure he received the care and attention he needed to learn and grow. He has made a lot of changes and friends along the way it's amazing to see all they have accomplished with him.

I'm disabled and was buying a home in Pennsylvania so that I can be closer to my doctors. I don't need to live in any particular area. I'm looking at home with the idea of specifically bringing a child into my home and my life. I have wanted a family for a long time. I decided to foster then adopt. I called this agency about a boy whose profile I had seen. I spoke with Kate Wood. She informed me the boy was no longer available. I tried to get additional information about the process. Kate Wood seemed bothered and disinterested. I have 15 years experience as a Physical Therapist working with children with disabilities and all sorts of issues. I have never seen anyone try less than Kate Wood. She could have taken my information or referred me to a recruiter. She did nothing. She is not helping those kids.

Choosing a perfect agency to represent you through an incredibly emotional, exciting , albeit scary process can often times be a decision based on gut feeling . reviews or word of mouth. For new or prospective families you need an agency that will be your advocate and partner in the process. Not having a ton of information about Children’s Aid Society I decided to go with them based off a few previous reviews. This was a mistake. If you’re considering using this agency I would keep looking. Staff seem over loaded with cases, disorganized and seemingly unhappy. In my short time with this agency I’ve experienced multiple staff turnovers. I found out the hard way that they will for sure not have their families backs. I had to literally jump through hurdles to be reimbursed for already authorized expenses that was owed by the agency. I found myself pleading with the Financial Manager for more than 2 months to be payed back only to be told that making any effort to arrange for reimbursement of my expenses was actually doing me a favor? Arrogant with a 2 dimensional frame of mind and archaic processes. I had to literally escalate the issue to the Executive Director to finally get reimbursed with no follow up apology by anyone in management. Serious management issues; I’ve decided to complete my adoption elsewhere and I encourage others to do the same.

The best daycare/preschool center hands down. I’ve had all three of my kids here over the last several years and I have no complaints. All the staff are wonderful and they make me feel secure knowing my kids are in their hands.
