We are so grateful for our twins’ Infant A teacher Diamond. Even though she is new, she came in and truly hit the ground running. From day one, she showed confidence, patience, and a genuine love for the babies in her care. She quickly built a bond with our twins and made us feel comfortable and reassured as parents. Her attentiveness, organization, and calm presence make a huge difference in the classroom. She pays close attention to each child’s needs and communicates well, which means so much to us. It is clear she takes pride in her work and truly cares about the growth, safety, and happiness of the infants. We feel blessed to have her caring for our twins and look forward to seeing the positive impact she continues to make. She is already an amazing addition to the Infant A team.

I have 2 1/2 -year old twin grandchildren that attend COA Waldorf Campus for nearly two years. They have always received the best care and quality services offered at any top-notch child care facility. The staff are extremely knowledgeable, creative and fun to work with. The children have learned a tremendous amount of age -appropriate class material and are thriving in their social skills. I attribute a great deal of their progress this year to their talented, professional and caring teachers, Ms. Meika and Ms. Tiana. Their hard work and dedication to educating the very brightest of 2 year old students is admirable. They appear to thoroughly enjoy engaging their little students as they offer them lots of support along the way (including a hug or two)! We are grateful for their efforts as it shows in the growth my family and I have seen in our twins! Many thanks to the team and Management at COA - Waldorf.

My daughter has been going to COA Waldorf since March 2025 and she absolutely loves it. She started off with Ms. Meika and Ms. Nicole in the twos room, but now she's with Ms. Nicole and Ms. Taylor in PreK-1B. With having a child with multiple severe allergies, the entire center takes them very seriously, especially Ms. Nicole or as she calls her "Momma Cole" lol. Her school mom goes far and beyond for her.

I currently have my child enrolled at Children of America, and overall, the experience has been truly wonderful. From the caring and attentive teachers to the engaging environment, it's been a great place for my son to grow and learn. I want to give a special shoutout to Ms. V and Ms. Makayla, who have gone above and beyond to make my son's transition to daycare smooth and joyful. Their dedication and warmth have made a lasting impression, and I’m incredibly grateful for their care. I also appreciate the entire staff every person who enters the room treats my child as if he were their own, and that level of genuine attention means so much to me as a parent. That said, I couldn’t give this daycare five stars, and it’s not because of the staff they’re amazing. My concern lies me learning that some staff members have left, or may leave, due to lack of proper compensation and raises. It's disheartening to know that such talented and dedicated individuals might not feel valued for the incredible work they do. In early childhood education, consistency is key, and it’s especially important at these young, formative ages. Frequent staff turnover can disrupt the sense of stability our children need. I truly believe that with fair compensation and regular raises, this center would not only retain its amazing team but continue to thrive. I sincerely hope this issue is addressed soon. I would love for my son to continue his journey here from just 3 months old until he’s ready for school but right now, the uncertainty around staffing makes that future feel less secure.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Children of America Daycare Center in Waldorf, MD. This facility is a prime example of a business that prioritizes profits over the well-being and education of children. Despite the annual 3% increase in tuition, there have been no improvements to the facility, curriculum, or resources. It's clear that the bottom line is the focus here. The center is severely understaffed. To cut costs, part-time staff were let go, leaving classroom teachers to cover breaks or substitute for other teachers. This disruption impacts the consistency and care that children need. Additionally, children are shuffled from classroom to classroom without prior notice to parents, which is completely unacceptable. The director's attitude is equally troubling. When I addressed concerns, she made it clear that neither she nor the front desk staff would help cover breaks because it was “beneath” their job titles. This attitude reflects a lack of care for both the children and the staff. It’s evident that financial gain, not the well-being of the children, drives the daycare's decisions. The educational standards are also subpar. When my niece started, I had to address the condition of the infant room—cluttered, outdated toys, a lack of proper learning materials, and an overall gloomy environment. The carpet was rarely cleaned, and I even had to provide a tummy time schedule because they weren’t offering one. After pulling my niece out, she learned more in a single week with me at home than she did in the entire eight months at the center. This confirmed that real education is lacking here. To make matters worse, children are pushed into new classes without proper evaluation or a smooth transition—just to make room for more children and collect more tuition fees. Staff are regularly sent home early to avoid paying them, and I witnessed firsthand how they manipulated the system, forcing employees to clock in and out and stealing hours from them. The final straw came when I informed them my niece would be late, only to be told there was no spot available for her. How is this possible when I pay weekly to ensure a spot? I was told it was due to multiple staff callouts. This is not my issue—I pay for the spot, and yet I was left with no solution. If public and private schools don’t implement such policies, why should daycare centers? They had the audacity to tell me that their policy requires a two-week notice for withdrawal. I responded by saying that the moment their late policy jeopardized my job, their two-week notice policy became irrelevant. Did anyone give me two weeks' notice that my niece couldn't come to school, even though I paid in full? Did they give their staff two weeks' notice when they fired them? No—they let them go immediately and even told one of their teachers that her son could no longer stay as a student. Is this really the type of childcare center you want looking after your child? The bottom line, this daycare is a money-driven business with little regard for the care or development of children. I would not recommend it to anyone who values the safety, well-being, and education of their child. The only reason I am giving this center one star is because I did appreciate the two infant teachers. They did their best within the constraints of the system, following instructions from their Assistant Director.
